Premier League Preview | Who you got this Epic Weekend?

| BY News Team

Spurs continue to lead the way in the 2023/24 Premier League after Monday night’s 2-0 win over Fulham. Ange Postecoglou’s side kick-off MW10 and could open up a five-point lead before the rest of their rivals play.

Man City, who face Man Utd in the derby on Sunday, Arsenal and Liverpool are all within striking distance of Spurs ahead of this weekend’s games. Aston Villa and Newcastle complete the top six.

At the bottom, there’s a massive game between Bournemouth and Burnley on Saturday. Winless Sheffield United travel to the Emirates.

This weekend is an Epic Weekend at William Hill. We’re giving away a completely free £5 bet to use on any sport online or in-shop, including the footy.

We’ll also have Nicole Holliday’s picks, Enhanced Odds and much more. Plus, your Epic Boost will be refreshed on Sunday morning.

To get you ready, let’s look at three of the standout Premier League fixtures…

Crystal Palace v Spurs

Selhurst Park

Friday, 27th October @ 20:00

Ange-ball is proving a hit at Spurs. The Australian coach has galvanised the club since arriving in the summer and they’re enjoying their best start to a Premier League season (W7 D2).

Spurs are 11/5 to beat Crystal Palace to nil and extend their impressive start. In 28 Premier League games against the Eagles, Spurs have won 17. That’s a win-rate of 61%.

This game will be Roy Hodgson’s 500th in charge of English clubs in all competitions. He won his 300th and 400th such games. Palace are 16/5 to give Hodgson a win this time.

Son Heung-min’s partnership with James Maddison has been the driving force behind Spurs’ unbeaten start. Both scored in Monday’s win over Fulham. Maddison has been particularly dangerous on the road, scoring twice and providing five assists. The former Leicester man is 5/2 to set up a goal at Selhurst Park and 11/2 to have over two shots on target.

Bournemouth v Burnley

Vitality Stadium

Saturday, 28th October @ 15:00

Is it too early for a relegation six-pointer? It doesn’t feel like it. Only a point separates Bournemouth and Burnley heading into Saturday’s game. Both sides are in the bottom three.

The Cherries started well against Wolves at the weekend, taking the lead after 17 minutes. But they were unable to hold on and slipped to a 2-1 defeat. No team have dropped more points from winning positions in the Premier League this season than Bournemouth (11). It’s 9/1 they lead at half time but fail to win this one.

Burnley’s record against Bournemouth should give them hope of leaving with all three points. The Clarets have won six of their last eight meetings, including the last four in a row. Plus, Burnley have triumphed on their last three visits to the Vitality Stadium. Get 9/4 on the Clarets.

The sides’ main goal-threats are Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) and Lyle Foster (Burnley). Solanke has scored four of the Cherries’ six league goals, while Foster has been involved in five goals in his last six top-flight appearances (3 goals, 2 assists). Solanke is 8/5 to net at any time. Foster is 5/2.

Man Utd v Man City

Old Trafford

Sunday, 29th October @ 15:30

An Epic Weekend of football finishes off with a Manchester derby at Old Trafford. United won this fixture 2-1 last season thanks to late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford. Can they reignite their top-four hopes and inflict a third league defeat in four on City? United are 18/5 to win on Sunday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola has a great record in this fixture, though. He has a 50% win-rate against United (7/14). In fact, only Arsene Wenger (12) has won more Premier League games against the Red Devils than the Spaniard (7).

City have scored 15 goals in the last five Manchester derbies (all comps). Get 2/1 on the Sky Blues netting over 2.5 goals in this one.

Julian Alvarez could be the man to break the deadlock. The World Cup winner has scored the opening goal three times this season, including last weekend against Brighton. Alvarez is 5/1 to bag the opener.

Or maybe it will be Bruno Fernandes who takes centre stage? The United captain has scored in his last two games against City (all comps). He’s 4/1 to become the first United player since Paul Scholes in 2003/04 to net in three consecutive derbies.
