Premier League: Norwich (20th) v Newcastle (11th)

Newcastle’s win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday moved them onto 40 points. They only had five points when Eddie Howe took over in November.

That win over Palace means the Magpies have now won nine top-flight games in 2022, one more than they did in the entirety of 2021 (8).

And, since the start of February, only Liverpool (28) have picked up more points than Newcastle (25). Meanwhile, in that period, Norwich have collected the fewest (5).

Championship: Sheffield United (6th) v Cardiff (17th)

Sheffield United are looking to complete a league double over Cardiff City after winning 3-2 in South Wales in December.

The Blades have never lost consecutive home games under Paul Heckingbottom, who last suffered consecutive home Football League defeats in March 2018 as Leeds boss.

Meanwhile, Cardiff arrive in South Yorkshire having lost three of their last four league games.

Championship: Peterborough (22nd) v Nottingham Forest (5th)

Nottingham Forest have won eight of their nine league matches against Peterborough and have a 100% record at London Road (P4 W4).

Since appointing Steve Cooper in September, Forest have won 66 points from 33 league games. Only promoted Fulham (67) have collected more.

Forest are the first Football League side since Crewe in the 2011/12 League Two campaign to reach 20 wins in a season after losing their opening four matches.
