Scottish Premiership Betting Tips for Wednesday 11th February

The William Hill Scottish Premiership enters Gameweek twenty-six of this campaign, with Hearts, Celtic and Rangers all battling it out for the title and domestic glory.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the Scottish Premiership..

Wednesday night will see two of the three teams in contention of the William Hill Scottish Premiership title in action, as Celtic welcome bottom of the league Livingston to Celtic Park, whilst Rangers travel to Fir Park to face Motherwell.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Scottish Premiership odds and betting angles for Wednesday’s fixtures:

Celtic v Livingston – Wednesday, 7.45pm

Punters can bet on Celtic v Livingston with William Hill

  • Celtic left it late in the Scottish Cup last weekend after equalising in the 97th minute against Dundee before advancing into the next round after victory in extra-time, the Hoops are now eight games unbeaten in all competitions since O’Neil took over for a second time in this campaign.
  • Celtic remain six points behind Hearts at the time of writing albeit having played a game less, you’d expect the Hoops to win this one not only because they are facing a struggling side but they’re unbeaten in their last twenty-two home games against Livingston in all competitions (W19, D3).
  • This will be Martin O’Neill’s 200th league game in charge of Celtic (P199 W164 D20 L15 to date) – the sixth manager to reach that milestone with the club. He has already won the most matches of any manager within their opening 200 league fixtures with the Hoops (164, Neil Lennon second with 154).
    ——————————–————————
  • Livingston continue to struggle, a 2-1 defeat in their last outing against Falkirk makes it three losses in a row now, they’ve won just one game in the league all season, that came back in August at the start of the season.
  • Livi are heading for relegation and it’s no surprise, they’re winless in their last twenty-three league games (D7 L16) since that victory in August. It’s the longest run without a win by any side in Scotland’s top-flight in the 21st century.
  • Livingston have lost each of their last ten meetings with Celtic in all competitions by an aggregate score of 30-6 since a 0-0 stalemate in October 2021, it’s hard to see anything other than a comfortable Celtic victory in this one.

Prediction: Celtic -2 Handicap, Celtic 3-0 Livingston.

Motherwell v Rangers – Wednesday, 8pm

Punters can bet on Motherwell v Rangers with William Hill

  • Motherwell are flying right now and will be looking to upset the odds on Wednesday night, a 2-0 victory away to Livingston at the end of January has extended their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions, they’ve lost just one of their last fifteen outings, that game in the reverse fixture.
  • The Well have the best defensive record in the Scottish top-flight this season, they’ve conceded just seventeen goals and only five in their twelve games on home soil, they’ve kept a clean sheet in each of their last eight home league games (W7 D1), winning their last five in a row.
  • However, despite their recent form, Motherwell tend to struggle at home against Rangers, they’ve not won any of their last thirty-one league games on home soil against the Gers, their last victory here came back in 2015.
    ——————————–————————
  • Rangers head to Motherwell having thrashed Queen’s Park 8-0 in the Scottish Cup on Sunday, whilst they turn their focus to the William Hill Scottish Premiership where they remain three points behind the league-leaders Hearts at the time of writing.
  • Rangers have won seven of their last eight league games (D1), a run which started with a 1-0 win over Motherwell in December. Since that day, the Gers have earned at least eight more points than any side in the Scottish Premiership.
  • I’m expecting a tight encounter between these two sides and i’m actually going to sit on the fence a little here and back a stalemate, the last two meetings here have seen a scoredraw and another here wouldn’t surprise me too much.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Draw, Motherwell 1-1 Rangers.
