William Hill Premiership Title Odds: Celtic Looking Ominous Once Again
Celtic have leapfrogged Old Firm rivals Rangers as the new 11/10 favourites to win this season’s William Hill Premiership after a dramatic weekend of results, which saw former favourites Rangers lose at home to Motherwell.
Hearts’ chances of winning the title have also been cut to 13/10 from 11/4 following their late 2-1 win at Hibs in the Edinburgh derby, though they still lead Danny Röhl’s men (7/2) in the betting.
William Hill Premiership Outright Winner Odds:
- Celtic – 11/10
- Hearts – 13/10
- Rangers – 7/2
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “The William Hill Premiership delivered another unmissable weekend of action, with Celtic surging into 11/10 favourites at the expense of fierce rivals Rangers.
“Hearts’ late 2-1 win in the Edinburgh derby against nine-man Hibs put them three points clear at the top, and their price has been cut to 13/10 to go all the way, while Rangers are pushed out to 7/2 after a shock last-minute defeat to Motherwell.
“We haven’t seen a title battle this close in the William Hill Premiership for generations, and as the three-horse race between Hearts, Celtic and Rangers reaches its conclusion, we can expect further drama in the run-in.”
