Title Race on a Knife Edge: Hearts to Win to Nil, Celtic for BTTS Win & Rangers -1 Headline Wednesday
Wednesday evening in the William Hill Premiership is a big one, with both Hearts and Celtic looking to overcome tricky fixtures, whilst the Jam Tarts could be crowned champions if results go in their favour.
William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews the action from Tynecastle, Fir Park and Ibrox respectively.
Hearts v Falkirk prediction: Hearts To Win To Nil (6/4), Hearts 1-0 Falkirk (6/1).
Motherwell v Celtic prediction: Both Teams To Score & Celtic To Win (2/1), Motherwell 1-2 Celtic (7/1).
Rangers v Hibernian prediction: Rangers -1 Handicap (13/10), Rangers 2-0 Hibernian (7/1).
Hearts v Falkirk – Wednesday, 8pm
- Hearts – 2/5
- Draw – 7/2
- Falkirk – 11/2
Hearts had to come from behind against Motherwell to grab themselves a point which could be vital, the Jam Tarts still sit top of the William Hill Premiership but have seen their lead close to just one point with two huge games left to play, including a trip to Celtic Park on the final day in a potential title decider. Derek McInnes’ side return to home soil where they are yet to lose in the league (W14, D4), whilst they’ve won each of the last three meetings in the Scottish top-flight against Falkirk without conceding.
Motherwell v Celtic – Wednesday, 8pm
- Motherwell – 3/1
- Draw – 11/4
- Celtic – 8/11
Following a strong campaign, Motherwell have just struggled at the business end of the season with now just one win in their last eight games (D2, L5) but they still remain a threat in terms of determining where this title goes. Celtic had to come from behind against Rangers on Sunday in the Old Firm derby, a 3-1 victory for Martin O’Neill’s side has moved them within touching distance of Hearts at the summit with just two games left to play, defeat here would handle the title to Hearts if they can beat Falkirk. However, despite losing 2-0 here back in December, the Hoops have won each of their previous eleven trips to Fir Park.
Rangers v Hibernian – Wednesday, 8pm
- Rangers – 4/9
- Draw – 7/2
- Hibernian – 9/2
Following Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Celtic Park, Rangers will finish the season in third place and will participate in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season, they return to Ibrox looking to end the season strongly though having won seven of their last eight meetings here against Hibs (L1), Hibernian will be looking to put some pressure on Motherwell here with a victory as they look to keep their slim chances of European football alive.
