BMW Ladies Championship 2026 Predictions & Betting Tips: Woad can Wow in South Korea

| BY News Team

Lottie Woad is William Hill’s bigger-priced selection for the BMW Ladies Championship at 25/1, with Haeran Ryu the leading alternative at 9/1.

Ryu shares favouritism with defending champion Sei Young Kim, but Woad’s world ranking suggests she deserves serious consideration against the leading South Korean contenders.

Tournament preview

The BMW Ladies Championship takes place from Thursday 22 October to Sunday 25 October at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam, South Korea. An 84-player field will compete for a $2.35 million prize fund across four rounds of stroke play.

Pine Beach hosts the tournament for the second consecutive year. Its coastal setting makes wind an important consideration, with players needing to balance attacking opportunities against the risks of exposed approaches and difficult recovery shots. The par-72 layout should reward controlled ball-striking, but conditions will determine how aggressively the field can play.

Lottie Woad – 25/1

Woad is the standout bigger-priced option. The Englishwoman enters the week ranked seventh in the world, making her one of only four top-10 players in the field alongside Ryu, Hyo Joo Kim and Sei Young Kim. That is a strong starting point for assessing her appeal at 25/1.

The price creates an interesting comparison with the market leaders. Woad is considerably bigger than Ryu at 9/1. World rankings do not tell the whole story, particularly when the home players have strong form and course familiarity, but Woad’s standing makes her difficult to overlook.

Our case for backing her is that this tournament should reward a complete performance rather than one dominant attribute. If she controls her approach shots and avoids costly mistakes when the wind picks up, she can give herself enough birdie opportunities to remain in contention.

The challenge is converting that opportunity against a strong home contingent. Woad will need a productive week on the greens, particularly if conditions allow another low-scoring tournament. Nevertheless, 25/1 offers an appealing outright price for a player firmly established among the world’s leading golfers.

Prediction: Lottie Woad to contend for the title, with 25/1 the preferred bigger-priced outright bet.

Haeran Ryu – 9/1

Ryu has the strongest season-long credentials among the leading contenders. The world No.3 has won both the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and the Amundi Evian Championship this year, alongside eight other top-10 finishes. She also added a KLPGA victory at the Hite Jinro Championship earlier this month.

That combination of major-winning quality and recent success makes her a justified favourite. Unlike a selection based primarily on potential, Ryu has repeatedly converted strong performances into trophies during 2026.

At 9/1, she is the shorter-priced alternative to Woad. The concern is not her ability but the competitive nature of the field: Sei Young Kim (also 9/1) has already won at Pine Beach, while several other contenders have the quality to produce four low rounds.

Prediction: Haeran Ryu to challenge for another victory.
