DP World India Championship Predictions 2026: Rai The Value Bet At 14/1?

| BY Sam Cox

Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood are the co-favourites in golf betting for the 2026 DP World India Championship.

Shane Lowry (12/1) and Aaron Rai (14/1) trail the two betting favourites, with Robert MacIntyre, Min Woo Lee, and Eugenio Chacarra as the only other players shorter than 20/1.

Best Bets

  • Aaron Rai to win (14/1 Each Way 10 Places)
  • Jacob Skov Olesen to win (22/1 Each Way 10 Places)
  • Jacob Skov Olesen top 20 finish (7/5)
  • Richard Sterne top 20 finish (10/1)

The logic with Rai is simple. He’s incredibly accurate off the tee, leading the field in driving accuracy over the last three months.

He tied for second at the BMW PGA Championship in his last appearance, following a tied 16th at the BMW Championship in August. A lack of distance isn’t going to hurt Rai around this course like it does at other venues.

Jacob Skov Olesen is a man in form. He finished fourth in Spain after tying for 11th at the Alfred Dunhill Links. He has been 16th or better in seven of his last eight outings, with five top 10 placings in that period.

Relevant course form is strong, too — Skov Olesen was 13th and fifth in his last two appearances at the Kenya Open and tied for second at the Soudal Open earlier this year.

Yes, Richard Sterne has missed five cuts in a row. He’s not finished in the top 50 since the KLM Open in July. This is very much a buy-low pick with Sterne winning the Soudal Open earlier this year.

The South African remains highly accurate off the tee despite his struggles, and when his chipping and putting are dialled in, he’s more than capable of a top 20 finish. All three of his top 40 finishes this year have been 15th or better.

The Course

Delhi Golf Club has very tight fairways and its latest renovation, which took place in 2019, saw the greens become more complex.

A tree-lined course with little margin for error, accuracy off the tee is important, even though last year’s winner Fleetwood was the only one of the contenders to really excel in that area.

There’s a lack of statistics to look back on with 2025 seeing in the inaugural version of this event. Course form has tended to be important in previous events here, but those with experience on this track were hardly standout performers 12 months ago.

Form at the Kenya Open, Open de Espana, and Soudal Open could be informative given the similarities between those courses and Delhi.

When it comes to live betting, keep in mind that it’s been very rare for a player outside the top 10 through the first two rounds to win at this course.

The Field

With no PGA Tour event this week, the big names are out in force. McIlroy, Fleetwood, and Rai are joined by Open champion Ryan Fox, and Race to Dubai frontrunner Patrick Reed.

Reed, Chacarra, McIlroy, or Casey Jarvis could be atop the rankings by Monday. Chacarra finished one shot off the eventual winner in his home open last week, while Jarvis tied for second in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Given the importance of form in Kenya and Belgium, Jarvis’ win at the Kenya Open is a factor to bear in mind. Skov Olesen was in the mix in both events and finished fourth in Spain last week.

McIlroy made headlines by deciding not to put a driver in his bag last year and will probably repeat that strategy this week. Watch out for other players copying that approach.
