Genesis Championship Best Bets: 5/1 Favourite Could Well Be The One To Beat
Si Woo Kim is the golf betting favourite for the 2026 Genesis Championship at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club.
The field contains 90 DP World Tour players and 36 from the KPGA Tour. It is the last counting event of the DP World Tour regular season – the top 100 players in the Race to Dubai rankings earn their tour card for next season, while the top 70 progress to the playoffs.
Eleven of this year’s DP World Tour winners are teeing it up this week, and five of the top 10 in the Race to Dubai are taking on Woo Jeong Hills.

Best Bets
- Si Woo Kim Tournament Winner (5/1 10 Places Each Way)
- Jacob Skov Olesen Top 10 Finish (9/4)
- Daniel Hillier Top 10 Finish (13/8)
Si Woo Kim has had a brilliant year. A tournament win has narrowly evaded him so far, but there’s every chance that drought is ended in his home country. Si Woo has 11 top 10s this year.
He might not be the longest driver, but the Korean is consistently elite on approach and his good play around the greens should help him set up easy putts.
It’s hard to look beyond Jacob Skov Olesen at the moment. The Dane didn’t have the best time at this event in 2025, but he’s got eight top 20s in his last nine outings. Five of those were top 10s. If putting again proves decisive, few are better equipped than Skov Olesen, who ranks third in strokes gained on the greens over the last three months.
Fresh off a red-hot putting performance taking him to second in India, Daniel Hillier was back to his best after a few underwhelming performances. Hillier tied for second at the British Masters at the end of August, though, and he’s second only to Si Woo in strokes gained tee to green over the last three months.
The Course
The longtime home of the Korea Open, Woo Jeong Hills Country Club has welcomed plenty of elite golfers over the years, despite this being only its second appearance on the DP World Tour.
It’s a course that presents water challenges aplenty, and at 7,367 yards will reward longer hitters. There’s limited data to go on from previous events, but putting accuracy has generally been a key factor.
Big names have excelled here in the past, with Rickie Fowler, Vijay Singh, and John Daly among the previous winners.
Form
Defending champion Junghwan Lee excelled in this event 12 months ago, but his recent form on the DP World Tour is very poor. Koreans have won every edition of the Genesis Championship since it joined the European Tour schedule, though Englishman Laurie Canter and Spaniard Nacho Elvira shared runner-up honours last year.
Thomas Detry and Angel Ayora were both in the top 10 in the 2025 event. Both are considered among the contenders this time around.
Ayora and Mikael Lindgerg, who tied for seventh a year ago, are two of the field’s leaders in driving distance over the last three months. Sungjae Im tops the putting charts with DP World Tour form man Jacob Skov Olesen also in the top five.
