Wayne Riley: “My top pick is Scottie Scheffler for obvious reasons. He’s won here two out of the last three years.”
Tyrell Hatton
Wayne Riley: “I think that Tyrell Hatton has a good chance here of winning the Masters, he’s a great wedge player and comes here in decent form, having won in Dubai this year.”
Shane Lowry
Wayne Riley: “I think Shane Lowry has a wonderful opportunity of winning. He’s got great imagination and that’s what you need here at Augusta National. A wonderful imagination.”
At the time of writing, Scottie Scheffler is one of the Masters favourites in 2025 and he will have plenty of supporters given his record around Augusta National.
The Masters 2025 Outsider Of The Week
Wayne Riley is backing Bryson DeChambeau to go well at Augusta this week and he is a 14/1 shot with William Hill ahead of The Masters. You can read his reasoning behind the selection below:
Wayne Riley: “He did alright a couple of years back, he won the US Open last year. He’s got to be an outsider because he’s playing on that LIV Tour. He’s not playing against the best players.
“I think the golf course suits him. He’s not coming in here on the LIV Tour with great form but it’s a golf course, Augusta, it’s quite wide off the tee and he hits it as far as anybody and there’s no reason why he can’t prevail here.
“His odds are a little longer but I think for me he is an outsider and that’s who I’m going with as my outsider for the US Masters.”

“To win the career Grand Slam, to go down with the players which I call ‘The Immortals’, to join that list would be phenomenal. And I hope he does it, he’s got a great chance.”
