Greyhound Tips: Dani Jackson’s Best Bets At Yarmouth
The 2026 East Anglian Greyhound Derby gets underway at Yarmouth this week and William Hill ambassador Dani Jackson reveals her best bets for round one.
Wednesday, Yarmouth
The eightieth running of the East Anglian Derby starts at Yarmouth on Wednesday and my NAP runs in the first heat (19:22). DROOPYS ASSURED runs for local trainer Craig Morris, who looks to have a very nice type on his hands.
He has raced eight times so far and won five including his one and only start at Yarmouth. That was way back in February when he made most and drew clear by over five lengths, posting a very quick 27.49s. He was off for nearly four months with a setback but resumed with four wins on the trot. Three standards at Doncaster before landing a puppy trophy at Central Park followed. He was then targeted at the Sussex Cup where he made it to the semis before a slow start and a crowd put him out of the contest.
Droopys Assured returns to Yarmouth after a cracking trial and if he splits well from the inside, he should be able to use his nearly thirty-five-kilogram bulk to muscle his way around the bends, slingshot down the back and make all from there.
Another thing to note on the card is that Patrick Janssens has won this competition for the last two years, so look out for his one and only runner, ROMEO ABILITY in heat four (20:13).
