Charlie Hills’ William Hill blog: Equality can come charging home

| BY News Team

It was pleasing to see Murashah win on debut. He was slowly away from what is a terrible draw on the outside over seven furlongs at Haydock and got a bit lost when they picked up in the home straight, but he finished his race off really well.

The penny really only seemed to drop in the last furlong and, while the others probably came back to him a bit, I loved the way he finished, hitting the line strongly.

We’ll just take our time with him now and see how we go. He wouldn’t have any immediate plans.

Sandown, Saturday

Equality goes in the five-furlong Charge (1.50pm). He was mightly impressive last time out at Windsor and has a nice draw here in stall four.

He’s had a couple of starts in Group race company this year that haven’t worked out, but I’d like to think he’s got plenty of confidence going into tomorrow. Hopefully, if things go according to plan, he should have a competitive chance.

Lady Alara takes her chance in the Distaff (3.00pm). She’s got some good course form, having finished third in Listed company at Sandown last season, so I was quite keen to run her there again.

We were delighted with her run in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot, where she finished second of those in her group on the far side of the track. Obviously, she’s got a bit to find with some of the others in here on that form, but I just hope the track will play to her strengths and she can run another nice race.

Leicester, Saturday

Pending Appeal (5.17pm) is our only runner at Leicester. She probably wants this six-furlong trip, but seven is fine for her too. She looks well in herself, and we’ll take our chance with her.
