Nigel Twiston-Davies’ William Hill blog: Hoping for a Super day at Cheltenham

Leading trainer and William Hill ambassador Nigel Twison-Davies gives his thoughts on his runners at Cheltenham on Wednesday, including in the feature race, the Grade 2 Silver Trophy.
Cheltenham, Wednesday
I’m looking forward to running Super Six in the Silver Trophy (1.30pm) at Cheltenham. He won really well at Haydock two starts ago and he just got stuck in the mud at Newbury last time. It was quite soft ground that day and the better ground here should be much more in his favour. He would be one of our better chances on the day.
Master Chewy makes his first start in a handicap (2.05pm). I’d like to think he’s a bit better than his mark and we’re hopeful. Two and a half miles might actually be his best trip and he certainly wasn’t disgraced in the Ballymore at Cheltenham. It’s a much lower class here and I hope he’ll go really well.
We run Checkitout in the handicap chase (2.40pm). He’s getting on a bit now and this could very well be his last race for us, but he’s now down to a workable handicap mark and he’s in good form at home.
Poppa Poutine takes his chance in the handicap chase (3.50pm). He’s been a bit disappointing this season and we just thought the soft ground last time probably hindered him a touch. He’s another who has been in good form and he’ll hopefully be able to bounce back here.
The Kniphand and Broadway Boy both run in the handicap hurdle (4.25pm). The former won well last time and Finn [Lambert] gets on really well with him, so he should have a good chance if he can back it up. I’m quite hopeful he’ll go well and I’d like to think the same of Broadway Boy who was impressive on his last start too.
