Royal Ascot Ante Post 2026: Best Early Value Throughout The Week
The latest round of antepost tips for Royal Ascot 2026, with William Hill tipster Steve Mullington giving his ‘best bets’ three weeks out from this summer’s meeting.
Ante-post betting on the five-day Royal Ascot meeting is always extremely popular with punters trying to find a value edge well before the action on the track actually begins.
Without further ado, it’s time to take an early look across the entire week, with the intention of identifying horses that look like value bets at this stage.
Prince Of Wales’s Stakes – ALMAQAM
Trainer Ed Walker immediately targeted Royal Ascot next with Almaqam after his charge landed a brilliant victory in the Tattersalls Gold Cup under Kieran Shoemark.
This strapping son of Lope de Vega is well worth a speculative each-way punt at odds of 10/1 against the likes of Daryz and Ombudsman in one of the most prestigious races of the week.
King Charles III Stakes – RAYEVKA
Straight after Rayevka scorched home to win the Group 3 Prix de Saint-Georges at Longchamp, her trainer Francis Graffard confirmed she was heading straight to this five furlong speed test.
At odds of 8/1 in our antepost horse racing betting, she’s yet another horse that has to be on the each-way punter’s radar – even if she doesn’t end up on many NAPs table picks.
Ascot Gold Cup – RAHIEBB
Yorkshire Cup winner Rahiebb (4/1) can lower the colours of the O’Brien stable in the Thursday showpiece – and one of the most prestigious races on the UK calendar.
The Frankel-colt narrowly missed out to Scandinavia in last season’s St Leger and can turn the tables on him on this better ground.
Royal Hunt Cup – BACK IN BLACK
Those of you looking for an each-way longshot in one of the big field handicaps of Royal Ascot week may want to give the four-year-old grey Back In Black the once over.
James Fanshawe’s gelding hasn’t had the best of draws thus far this season and connections are hopeful they are dealt a change of fortune at this premiere fixture at one of the leading racecourses across the country.
Fanshawe is on the record as saying he was hopefully this gelding might dominate the three-year-old handicaps last season, but a slight injury to the horse curtailed those plans.
Currently trading as a 25/1 poke in our ante-post sports betting market, the Dark Angel-gelding can figure prominently at generous odds.
Wokingham Stakes – SPY CHIEF
Representing the all-conquering John & Thady Gosden yard, Spy Chief can outrun his inflated 25/1 price down the Berkshire home straight on the final day of Royal Ascot 2026.
The Godolphin-owned gelding has won one of nine starts, a novice at Yarmouth in June 2025 and placed in the Group 3 Jersey at Royal Ascot last season. This term, he was last seen finishing a neck second to Almeraq in the Listed Cathedral Stakes at Salisbury.
This powerful trainer/owner combination cannot be overlooked.
