Mark Selby and Kyren Wilson overcame deciding sets in the last round to set up a heavyweight meeting on Thursday. Selby has won his last four matches against Wilson, including a 6-1 drubbing in this year’s China Open.

It was a relatively scrappy win for Wilson last time out, with only one break north of 50. Selby’s match was more free-flowing, and the former world number one is coming off a run to the final at the British Open.

It would be an upset if Wilson got the better of Selby here, despite Wilson being the higher seed.

Judd Trump vs Anthony McGill Prediction

Judd Trump has only dropped one frame across the first two rounds. It’s no surprise he’s the heavy favourite against Anthony McGill, who has beaten Stuart Bingham and Fan Zhengyi to reach this round.

Trump has an 11-2 record in this matchup. McGill has won 39% of frames played between the players, though.

The early form shown by Trump in this event suggests this will be over pretty quickly. McGill should get on the board, but we can’t see him competing much more than that.

Mark Williams vs Barry Hawkins Prediction

Two veterans of the game meet for a 29th time. Mark Williams and Barry Hawkins have already met on three occasions in 2026, with Hawkins winning the two previous contests by an overall score of 17-11.

Williams has been pushed the distance in each of the first two rounds. Hawkins has covered the -1.5 handicap in both of his contests after some disappointing results to start the new season.

Despite Williams making deeper runs in recent tournaments, we fancy Hawkins to get the job done here thanks to his impressive recent record against the Welshman.
