Premier League: Ipswich v Liverpool – Reds tipped to end their winless run

William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews Friday’s Premier League clash between Ipswich Town and Liverpool.

Our Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Liverpool To Win (17/10), Ipswich Town 1-3 Liverpool (10/1)

Portman Road is set for a lively Friday‑night clash as newly promoted Ipswich Town host Liverpool in the Premier League.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and betting angles for Friday’s fixture:

Ipswich Town v Liverpool – Friday, 8pm

View all available markets at William Hill

  • Ipswich Town started life back in the Premier League with all three points against Sunderland on home soil but faced a much tougher test at Old Trafford on Sunday, losing 5-2 to Manchester United, they now welcome Liverpool.
  • Bouncing back to winning ways on Friday will be difficult for the Tractor Boys given they’ve lost each of their four Premier League meetings against the Reds, scoring just one goal in the process, you’ve got to go back to 1986 for the last time Ipswich this fixture on home soil.
  • We should be in for goals though on Friday evening, Ipswich Town have now seen six of their last seven home games produce BTTS (Both Teams To Score), punters can back the BTTS & a home win at 7/1 with William Hill.

  • Andoni Iraola looked an ideal stylistic match for Liverpool, but the early signs have been far more turbulent than expected, consecutive 2-2 draws in this campaign extends their winless Premier League run to six matches stretching back into last season.
  • Failure to win here and the Reds would make it seven Premier League games in a row without victory, something they’ve only ever done once before in their history, although Liverpool are unbeaten in all six Premier League games played at Portman Road (W4, D2).
  • Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 20 Premier League matches against newly promoted sides (W15 D5) but the last side to beat them were a Bournemouth side managed by Gary O’Neil back in March 2023, William Hill make Liverpool the 11/20 favourites to win here.
