Premier League Sack Race Odds: Arne Slot Shortens In The Betting
Arne Slot has moved into second in the Premier League sack race, according to William Hill.
The leading bookmaker have cut the odds on the Liverpool boss to be the next manager to leave to 5/1, placing him second in the market behind Wolves’ Vitor Pereira (1/2).
Nuno Espirito Santo has already tasted dismissal this season but occupies third in the betting at 6/1.
Next Premier League Manager To Leave Odds:
Punters can bet on which Premier League manager will be the next to leave at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:
- Vitor Pereira – 1/2
- Arne Slot – 5/1
- Nuno Espirito Santo – 6/1
- Daniel Farke – 14/1
- Marco Silva – 14/1
- Sean Dyche – 14/1
- Bar – 20/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Arne Slot is moving in the wrong direction in our sack race market, shortening again from 6/1 to 5/1 to become the second favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave.
“Pressure is mounting on the Liverpool boss with six defeats in their last seven games, which has seen him move past Nuno Espirito Santo in the betting.
“Wolves remain winless in the league, with Vitor Pereira the 1/2 favourite to go next, but if the title holders’ poor form continues, the gap at the top of the sack race market could continue to narrow.”

Following Liverpool’s fourth straight league defeat, Arne Slot’s odds to be the next Premier League manager to leave have shortened with William Hill.
After a Premier League title in his debut season at the club, it’s perhaps surprising to see Slot at this position in the betting at this stage of the season, but the Reds’ loss to Brentford means the Dutchman is now as short as 10/1 to face the sack next.
Vitor Pereira is sat at the top of the betting at 8/13, with Wolves still winless and currently propping up the table, while West Ham’s Nuno Espirito Santo is also seemingly under pressure at 5/1 after a tough start to life at the London Stadium.
Daniel Farke (9/1) and Marco Silva (11/1) are either side of Slot, with Sean Dyche making up the front end of the market at 14/1.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “With another loss in the league for Liverpool, Arne Slot has shortened once again in the betting to be the next Premier League manager to leave his position.
“The loss to Brentford made it four consecutive defeats for the Reds in the league, and in their current form retaining the league title looks a tall order for Liverpool. As a result, we have seen Slot shorten into 10/1 from as big as 16/1 since the market reopened.
“He may well have more time on his side than the likes of Vitor Pereira (8/13) and Nuno Espirito Santo (5/1), who comparatively are in far worse positions, but if the Dutchman can’t turn the situation around at Anfield there’s no doubt we will see him shorten even further.”
Who would you fancy to take over as the next Liverpool manager after Arne Slot if the Dutchman is sacked? Only time will tell but there are plenty of viable candidates waiting in the wings.
