Laver Cup Predictions 2026: Team Europe Tipped To Prevail In London

The 2026 Laver Cup takes place between 25th September and 27th September at the O2 Arena in London, with best bets and predictions at William Hill.

Team World are winners of three of the last four editions, but their roster looks the weaker of the two heading into this year’s tournament. US Open finalist Ben Shelton withdrew and was replaced by Brandon Nakashima, which followed Tommy Paul pulling out of the event.

There have been no withdrawals on the European side. Team Europe have two of the world’s top three players taking part in Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, along with seventh-ranked Flavio Cobolli. Team World only have one player inside the world’s top 10.

Form Men

Fritz won in Washington before a third-round exit at the US Open. Zverev has two Grand Slam titles to his name this year, and Shelton was far and away the top player on Team World before opting to withdraw.

Alcaraz lost an epic to Shelton, but he looked pretty close to his best before that after a prolonged absence. A stunning first-round exit in New York was a setback for Jódar, but the young Spaniard has already beaten de Minaur this year and made deep runs in Washington and Montreal.

None of Team World reached the last eight at the US Open. Nakashima is the form man on his team with a string of impressive hard-court showings after Wimbledon, but he’s 0-8 against Zverev and Alcaraz.

Laver Cup Prediction

It would be a major tennis betting upset if Team World ran out victorious in London. With Shelton, they had a glimmer of hope. Without him, it just looks like a pretty lopsided matchup with Alcaraz and Zverev backed up by plenty of other European talent.

It’s not out of the question that this is a repeat of the 14-1 drubbing from 2021. Team World fought back after losing the opening day last year, but we could see Team Europe win this comfortably if they get the upper hand.
