The 2025 US Open begins on August 24 in New York. Each singles draw sees the reigning champions as the betting favourites at the time of writing.

It’s a year of change for the US Open, with the main draw beginning at a weekend for the first time in the Open Era. A fortnight of Slam tennis has been extended to 15 days.

Women’s US Open Odds:

Punters can bet on the 2025 women’s US Open tournament at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:

  • Aryna Sabalenka – 5/2
  • Iga Świątek – 3/1
  • Coco Gauff – 6/1
  • Elena Rybakina – 8/1
  • Mirra Andreeva – 8/1
  • Amanda Anisimov – 14/1
  • Victoria Mboko – 16/1
  • Naomi Osaka – 16/1
  • Madison Keys – 16/1
  • Jessica Pegula – 22/1

Women’s US Open Predictions:

Aryna Sabalenka is the slight tennis betting favourite in the women’s draw ahead of Iga Świątek.

The top two are going to garner much of the pre-tournament focus – Sabalenka reached the final in Melbourne and Paris, before Świątek imposed a historic drubbing on Amanda Anisimov in the Wimbledon final.

Coco Gauff has what it takes to go toe-to-toe with Świątek and Sabalenka. Consistency is an issue for the American, but the support of her adoring home crowd could help regain some form after suffering a quarter-final exit in Cincinnati and falling to Victoria Mboko in Montreal.

Since Wimbledon, Elena Rybakina has reached the semis in all three of her hard-court tournaments.

Mboko, Świątek, and Leylah Fernandez got the better of the 26-year-old, who has never gone beyond the third round at the US Open. She has a good chance of breaking that duck and has the upside to go all the way if Gauff disappoints on the big stage.

Mboko has the fearlessness that comes with inexperience. Eighteen years old and fresh off a spectacular win in Montreal, including a string of marquee wins, the teenager is up to number 24 in the world and couldn’t have any more confidence.

A Grand Slam win is probably a step too far at this stage of her career, but she might be worth a small wager at 16s.

It seems perfectly set up for Świątek and Sabalenka to meet in the final, with the latter as the rightful favourite. The women’s draw is notoriously hard to predict, though, so don’t be afraid of the longshot betting options.

Previous Women’s US Open Winners:

  • 2024 – Aryna Sabalenka
  • 2023 – Coco Gauff
  • 2022 – Iga Świątek
  • 2021 – Emma Raducanu
  • 2020 – Naomi Osaka
  • 2019 – Bianca Andreescu
  • 2018 – Naomi Osaka
  • 2017 – Sloane Stephens
  • 2016 – Angelique Kerber
  • 2015 – Flavia Pennetta

Now, onto the men’s tournament…

Men’s US Open Odds:

Punters can bet on the 2025 men’s US Open tournament at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:

  • Jannik Sinner – 10/11
  • Carlos Alcaraz – 5/4
  • Novak Djokovic – 9/1
  • Alexander Zverev – 14/1
  • Jack Draper – 16/1
  • Daniil Medvedev – 20/1
  • Ben Shelton – 22/1
  • Taylor Fritz – 25/1

Men’s US Open Predictions:

World number one Jannik Sinner is the sports betting favourite in the men’s draw ahead of Carlos Alcaraz. By far the two best players in the world, the pair are a long way clear of anyone else with Novak Djokovic owning the third-shortest odds at 9/1.

Sinner and Alcaraz have met in the last two Slam finals after Sinner won in Melbourne. Alcaraz recovered from the brink to win at Roland Garros, while Sinner cruised to a four-set win at the All England Club.

Back on his favoured surface, it’s hard to look past Sinner for the US Open, providing he stays healthy throughout the two weeks of competition in Flushing Meadows.

Djokovic hasn’t played since Wimbledon. Alexander Zverev was brushed aside by Alcaraz in Montreal after a first-round exit at Wimbledon and a three-set loss to Karen Khachanov in Toronto. His semi-final appearance in Cincinnati was a high point over the last few months.

Nothing since reaching the final at Halle has suggested Daniil Medvedev is ready for a deep run. The same goes for Holger Rune.

Ben Shelton has provided some more encouraging performances, but a heavy defeat to Zverev doesn’t inspire much betting confidence that he can get the better of Alcaraz or Sinner in New York.

Sinner is the man to beat. Alcaraz could pull off an upset if they meet in the final, but Sinner – like peak Djokovic – deserves to be the betting favourite on a hard court.
