Punters' pal Taylor is subject of £9k bet!
William Hill have taken their biggest darts bet for this year's inaugural William Hill Grand Slam of Darts. A punter in Southend has backed Phil 'The Power' Taylor to the tune of £9,000 at 5/4 to win the tournament. Gary Anderson is the 13/2 second favourite with James Wade and Adrian Lewis at 9/1 and 10/1 respectively.
"The Power is attracting virtually all of the early money and our punters seem convinced that he will do enough to grab the big prize this year," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
