Rooney Backed For United Stay...Martinez Firm Fav For Everton
Wayne Rooney is back into 13/8 from 3/1 with William Hill to stay at Manchester United after an overnight gamble seemed to predict an Old Trafford stay.
The odds of Rooney joining Bayern Munich, meanwhile, have drifted from 11/10 to 7/4 and the odds of him joining Chelsea have similarly eased from 2/1 to 5/2.
"As things stand we do not know Wayne Rooney's thinking and the reasons behind him wanting a move, but our punters are second guessing him at the moment and think that his transfer request is nothing more than posturing to see how much the club want to keep him after a peripheral season," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
After his Wigan side were relegated on Tuesday night, it is no surprise to see Roberto Martinez become the favourite to be named as the next permanent Wigan manager. Martinez is Even money ahead of Gus Poyet at 4/1 with Neil Lennon and Alan Stubbs at 5/1.
Manuel Pelligrini remains the red hot favourite to be named as Roberto Mancini's replacement at Manchester City at 1/7 while William Hill make Jose Mourinho 9/2 second favourite ahead of Rafa Benitez at 9/1.
