Best price bookies batten hatches for British GP
With the weather looking set to hold out for this weekend's British Grand Prix, William Hill have seen a spate of bets for Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
With William Hill's strong pricing on for the British Grand Prix, the pair have been well backed at 5/6 and 11/2 respectively.
"Our punters think, that with no inclement weather, Hamilton and Vettel will be the two fighting it out for the top spot come Sunday" said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
As the British Grand rolled around last year, there were question marks over the future of Mark Webber. He duly went on to win and utter the immortal words ‘not bad for a number 2 driver'.
With similar rumblings this year, Hills are offering 100/1 that he wins and repeats his world famous phrase.
Hills are also battening down the hatches as they prepare for a massive British gamble.
As well as Hamilton, Button and Di Resta are both expected to create five figure liabilities by the time the race starts.
Button is offered at 11/1, while Di Resta is 750/1.
While considered a big outsider, the home crowd could propel Di Resta into the top ten, which is 15/8 with Hills.
Lewis Hamilton has said it would be the ‘best moment of his career' if he could be a part of a British 1-2 at Silverstone and Hills offer 16/1 that he and his team-mate, Button, finish first and second.
"The British Grand Prix always generates a lot of interest for our patriotic punters and we will undoubtedly be in a spot of bother if any of the British hopefuls are first past the post," added Crilly.
Sebastian Vettel is the 5/2 favourite to secure the fastest lap of P1 on Friday, while Mark Webber is 3/1. Fernando Alonso is 5/1, Hamilton 7/1 with Massa and Rosberg 10/1.
