F1 turnover doubles to put bookies in Pole Position
Traditionally the British and Monaco G.P.s are the big events for F1 punters, however the tightest championship in 30 years has lead William Hill to expect six figure sums for each of the final three races of the season, in which Hills are offering 8/11 that there are three different winners.
"It was thought that the new points system would ruin the Drivers' Championship. As it happens, it has rejuvenated the sport and our turnover is more than double," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
The Korean track was only finished two weeks ago, although has passed FIA inspections.
Hills are offering 50/1 that the race finishes before the scheduled 55 laps and 5/6 that the safety car has to appear.
Sebastian Vettel is the 2/1 favourite for the Korean G.P. with Fernando Alonso priced at 11/4 and Mark Webber 10/3.
Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button could provide some British cheer at 5/1 and 12/1 respectively with a McLaren 1-2 priced at 14/1.
