Eurovision Song Contest: Things Looking Better For Bonnie!
Bookmakers William Hill are finally able to report a trickle of bets for the UK to win the Eurovision song contest and as a result have trimmed the price of Bonnie Tyler winning from 50/1 to 40/1. She is still well behind the favourite, Denmark (4/5), and it looks more likely at 8/1 that she finishes in last place. Should the unthinkable happen, it is 33/1 that she gets the disastrous 'Nul Points'.
Favourites, Denmark, are being talked of as potentially bagging a record points haul and it is 16/1 that any country beats the current record of 387 points.
"Bonnie is still a serious longshot but there is at least a speck of light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully she will at least get 'un point'!" said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
