Emma Raducanu Wimbledon Record: How Will She Fare In 2025?

Emma Raducanu Record

Emma Raducanu became an international sporting sensation in 2021. Rapidly becoming one of the most well-known names in the sports betting markets, Raducanu is as well-supported as any Brit at Wimbledon.

Wimbledon Record

Raducanu has featured in the Wimbledon main draw on four occasions (including the 2025 championships). The former US Open champion has won seven out of 10 matches, with runs to the fourth round in 2021 and 2023 as her best performances at the All England Club.

Eliminated in the first qualifying round in 2018 and 2019, Raducanu made history in 2021. Along with Liudmila Samsonova, she was one of two wild cards to reach the fourth round. That’s the first time in the Open Era that any major has seen two wild cards get that far.

On her historic run, Raducanu defeated Vitalia Diatchenko, Markéta Vondroušová, and Sorana Cîrstea before retiring during her fourth-round match against Ajla Tomljanović due to breathing difficulties and sickness.

In 2022, Raducanu defeated Alison Van Uytvanck in the first round, having entered as the 10th seed. She fell to Caroline Garcia in the second round.

The young star suffered a string of injuries and underwent multiple surgeries in 2023, so she was not able to compete at Wimbledon. She again reached the fourth-round in 2024, however, beating Renata Zarazúa, Elise Mertens, and world number nine Maria Sakkari before losing to Lulu Sun.

Alcaraz Pairing

Raducanu is teaming up with Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz for the mixed doubles at Wimbledon. The pair are going to attract plenty of tennis betting interest, even if they are unlikely to overcome the more experienced pairings they will be facing off against at the All England Club.

In an interview with the BBC, Raducanu asked Alcaraz how much of the court he’s planning to cover. After a moment to think, the Spaniard said, “I’m just gonna serve and I’m gonna pull myself away and I let her play.

“She will cover a lot of the court. She will be the boss! I will do whatever she wants me to do.”

Raducanu and Alvarez have formed a ‘genuine connection’ since their respective breakthroughs in 2021. Raducanu reached the fourth round at Wimbledon, while Alcaraz was making his Grand Slam debut.

A matter of weeks later at the US Open, Raducanu made history by winning the women’s singles title, and Alcaraz became the youngest Slam quarter-finalist in the Open Era.

Their path towards stardom aligned, with Raducanu using Alcaraz as inspiration at Flushing Meadows.

“I remember he was always playing the day before me, and I was playing like the second day of the round. And I would see him win, and then I would have motivation to win and get myself into that position too.

“I remember he beat Stef [Tsitsipas] in the third round and it was like a big win, his breakout kind of win on a big stage and it was really cool to kind of, I guess, go through that tournament together and then I kept going through the US Open, but we were staying in touch for the whole time and yeah, it’s nice.”

Forming the Team

Alcaraz was the one who asked Raducanu about teaming up for the mixed doubles. Raducanu apparently took a while to get back to him, which she puts down to asking her team if they thought she should take on the extra mileage of doubles play.

While Raducanu has claimed they are just good friends, it’s clear their relationship means a lot to both of them.

“It is nice and I think, for all of us, we really value those connections that we had from when we were young.

“Because when you become a bit more known or a bit more successful, you just find yourself reverting back to people you knew from a young age and because that’s a real genuine connection, because it becomes very busy and you have a lot more friends – but the ones that you’ve known for a long time mean a lot more to you.”

Time will tell if that connection helps them secure the £730,000 prize money for winning the mixed doubles.
