In the wake of the final major of the season, PGA Tour fans have nothing to fear as the action keeps rolling, with this week’s 3M Open.

The 3M Open is played at TPC Twin Cities, a challenging course located in Minnesota. Designed initially by Arnold Palmer, the course blends a traditional parkland style with water-heavy risk-reward elements.

Stretching over 7,400 yards, TPC Twin Cities is known for its lush fairways, strategic bunkering, and, most notably, its abundance of water hazards, coming into play on over half the holes. The signature 18th, a Par 5 with water all down the left, often provides late drama.

With firm greens and scoring opportunities for aggressive players, it’s a layout that rewards bold, accurate play.

Let’s take a look at some players who offer some value in the betting.

Chris Gotterup – 20/1

What a couple of weeks it has been for Chris Gotterup.

The American broke his maiden on the PGA Tour two weeks ago when winning the Scottish Open before defying the odds at Royal Portrush in the Open to finish third, carding 12 under across his four rounds.

That surely puts him right in the selection picture for the US team at the Ryder Cup, what a season it has been for the 26-year-old.

Known for his power and aggressive style of play, one of his biggest strengths is his driving. He ranks highly in driving distance, regularly averaging over 310 yards off the tee, giving him a significant advantage on longer courses.

He’s also a confident ball-striker with solid iron play, capable of hitting greens in regulation and setting up birdie chances. While his short game and putting have shown flashes, his scoring ability is largely driven by his length and ability to take on Par 5’s and drivable Par 4’s.

He looks good value at 20/1 this week and is definitely one to consider in tournaments going forwards.

Max Homa – 40/1

One player who will be desperate to get back onto the course in competition is Max Homa, who is a 40/1 shot this week.

Missing the cut for the Open last week after finishing a tied fifth in the John Deere Classic, Homa had to settle for his place in the Barracuda Championship last week – where he finished a tied 45th place.

His biggest strengths lie in his iron play and tee-to-green game, he consistently ranks among the leaders in strokes gained approach, thanks to his ball-striking and ability to dial in distance control.

Homa is also a reliable driver of the golf ball, finding fairways with a solid mix of distance and accuracy. On the greens, he’s a confident putter, especially from mid-range, and his short game has steadily improved over recent seasons.

If he can find a bit of his old form and get a roll, then the current quote of 40/1 about Max Homa may look very wide when we get to the weekend. He’s worth a chance.
