Dutch Grand Prix Betting Preview And Race Predictions (2025)

Fresh off the summer break, the Formula One season resumes in Zandvoort this weekend.
Oscar Piastri has a narrow advantage over teammate Lando Norris in the title race, while Max Verstappen’s F1 betting odds to win the race remain the third-longest, despite the progress made by Ferrari.
After a few weeks to recuperate since the last Grand Prix, drivers and teams will be reenergised heading into the second half of the campaign.
Dutch Grand Prix Winner Odds:
Punters can bet on the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:
- Oscar Piastri – 13/10
- Lando Norris – 11/8
- Max Verstappen – 7/1
- Charles Leclerc – 11/1
- George Russell – 16/1
- Lewis Hamilton – 20/1
It’s been a quiet period in the world of Formula One, with drivers enjoying their time off, but Tuesday brought big news as Cadillac announced Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez as their driving pairing for the 2026 season.
Verstappen won the first three races at Zandvoort when the Dutch Grand Prix returned to the calendar in 2021 but hasn’t made the podium in the last four Grands Prix.
He will still be well-supported, even if the home fans cannot be as optimistic about his chances as they have been in previous years.
Title Race Continues
Piastri holds a nine-point lead in the Drivers’ Championship. Norris won in Budapest last time out, though, and produced a dominant drive at this race 12 months ago, winning by 20 seconds.
Piastri is the sports betting favourite to be crowned champion at the end of the season, but it’s far from a foregone conclusion. It’s felt like a less chaotic season for Piastri, and Norris has missed some crucial opportunities.
Overall, however, there has been very little to choose between the drivers, with Piastri’s consistency the only factor giving him the slight edge as we head to the Netherlands.
Hamilton Searching for Form
Lewis Hamilton made progress in the last few races, closing the gap to Charles Leclerc and seeming to get to grips with his new surroundings. Unfortunately, the races in Belgium and Hungary didn’t bring the results the Brit needed after a testing first few months in the Scuderia.
A Q2 exit at the Hungaroring left the seven-time world champion particularly melancholic. The team gambled on strategy, which didn’t work out, and Hamilton was left in the no-man’s-land of the midfield.
His first Italian Grand Prix as a Ferrari driver is a matter of days away. The opportunity to have some time away from the track might have served Hamilton well – this weekend could be a turning point in his debut season with Ferrari.
Expect Chaos
Storms are forecast throughout the weekend. Surprises are likely in qualifying if the weather is changeable, and it ups the likelihood of an outsider winning the race.
Zandvoort is difficult circuit to overtake on. While it’s loved by the drivers for its undulations and old-school feel, the best chance of an entertaining race is if the weather is all over the place, and we get a few safety cars.
This could open the door for a rare non-McLaren win. The chasing pack are expected to be closer to the papaya team after the break, with Mercedes ditching their rear suspension package, and Ferrari figuring out how to make the most of their upgrades.
Leclerc to finish on the podium, George Russell to place in the top six, and Carlos Sainz to score at least one point is an intriguing #YourOdds wager at 13/2.
At 11/1, Verstappen to win the race with Norris on the podium, and Russell in the top six also looks good value if you fancy the Dutchman to deliver a masterclass in front of his home fans.
