Academy Awards Best Actor Odds: Sinners Star Heads Market
Michael B. Jordan is the new favourite with William Hill to win Best Actor at this weekend’s Oscars, for his performance in Sinners.
Jordan had been as big as 20/1 for the accolade at points this year but has crashed in price, usurping long-time favourite Timothee Chalamet at the head of the market – he is now 11/10 having been odds-on for most of the awards season.
It looks to be between Jordan and Chalamet, with the other nominees in the running all available at 14/1. That includes Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another) and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).

Jordan shooting to the fore – the Sinners actor is now even-money to collect his first Oscar, riding a wave of momentum.
“Jordan had been trading at double figures for many weeks of this awards season but remarkably now tops the betting, seeing Chalamet drift to 11/10 having been odds-on.
“The market suggests it’s a two-horse race that will be too close to call between Jordan and Chalamet, with the next possible winners Ethan Hawke, Leonardo DiCaprio and Wagner Mouri all priced at 14/1.”
