Title Race Drama: Rangers 9/5 BTTS Win Headlines Sunday with BTTS Expected in Edinburgh Derby

Two of the William Hill Premiership title contenders are in action on Sunday afternoon, Rangers host Motherwell whilst Hibs and Hearts meet in a feisty Edinburgh derby, with so much at stake this should be full of drama.

William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews the action from Ibrox and Easter Road respectively.

Rangers v Motherwell prediction: Both Teams To Score & Rangers To Win (9/5), Rangers 2-1 Motherwell (13/2).

Hibernian v Hearts prediction: Both Teams To Score (7/10), Hibernian 1-1 Hearts (5/1).

Rangers v Motherwell – Sunday, 3pm

  • Rangers – 8/15
  • Draw – 16/5
  • Motherwell – 9/2

Rangers enter the business end of the season now just one point behind Hearts and have now emerged as the favourites to win the William Hill Premiership, it’s no surprise given Danny Rohl’s side are unbeaten in their last sixteen league games, whilst they’ve lost none of their last fourteen league games on home soil. Motherwell had also been part of title conversations but that’s no longer the game now they’re winless in their last five league games (D1, L4) but their goal now will be to finish in the top four and secure European football. Both sides have only won one of the last five meetings (D3), this could be a tighter game than the odds suggest.

Hibernian v Hearts – Sunday, 4.30pm

  • Hibernian – 9/5
  • Draw – 21/10
  • Hearts – 29/20

What better way to start to top six split than with an Edinburgh derby with so much at stake, not only do Hibs have the chance to put a dent into their rivals title ambitions but they have their own goals this season, they sit just three points behind Motherwell in fourth as they hunt down a European spot, Hibs have won the last two derbies at Easter Road. Hearts make the short trip knowing they are just five games away from securing their first Scottish Premiership since 1960, they sit one point clear at the top but having won none of their last four away games, this is a real test for Derek McInnes’ side. It’s a tough one to call this but with seven of the last ten meetings each seeing both teams score, that could be the angle for this one.
