French Open Tips Today: Best Bets At Roland Garros On Monday

| BY Sam Cox

William Hill News preview the biggest matches at Roland Garros on Monday, with Sam Cox giving his best bets on the French Open action.

Three of the top 14 women’s seeds are out. Four of the top 14 men’s seeds are out, including Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic. This has been a captivating French Open to date. Here’s a look ahead to Monday’s tennis betting tips.

French Open Predictions – Monday 1st June 2026:

  • Flavio Cobolli to win in straight sets (4/6)
  • Félix Auger-Aliassime to win 3-1 (18/5)
  • Aryna Sabalenka -4.5 games (8/11)
  • Anastasia Potapova -2.5 games (7/10)

The stage is set and with plenty still in the hunt for the coveted trophy and lucrative Roland Garros prize pot, we look at the biggest matches at the 2026 French Open on Monday.

Flavio Cobolli vs Zachary Svajda

Yet to drop a set in this tournament, Flavio Cobolli impressively dismantled Learner Tien in the third round. The draw has fallen in Cobolli’s favour in a big way, with Zachary Svajda – ranked 85th in the world – standing between the Italian and a Grand Slam quarter-final.

Svajda beat Francisco Cerúndolo in the last round. This was already his best-ever Grand Slam performance, having only once previously played in the second round. This is the first time he’s even reached the first round at Roland Garros.

Cobolli is rightly a heavy favourite here. He was taken to three sets in the previous meeting, but it’s unlikely Svajda can make this into a long match.

Félix Auger-Aliassime vs Alejandro Tabilo

It’s not been easy, but Félix Auger-Aliassime has reached the fourth round. The Canadian is a candidate to go all the way, despite needing 14 sets to win his first three matches. He’s facing Alejandro Tabilo, who he beat in straight sets on a hard court last year.

Tabilo is at his best on clay, as evidenced by two wins over Djokovic. Still, wins over top 20 players have been rarities in recent months, and it’s a big ask for the Chilean to stage an upset here.

Auger-Aliassime’s knack for making things more difficult than they need to be needs to be taken into account by bettors, though.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Naomi Osaka

Meeting for a fourth time overall and a third time in 2026, Aryna Sabalenka is looking to make it three wins in a row against Naomi Osaka. The world number one came from a set down to beat Osaka in Madrid after a straight sets win at Indian Wells.

It’s been as routine as it gets for Sabalenka so far. Osaka, in contrast, had to fight hard to beat Iva Jovic last time out. The 28-year-old has only made one quarter-final (across all events) since last year’s US Open.

There’s no way to justify fading Sabalenka here. Osaka hasn’t shown anything in the last few months to suggest she can beat the world’s best player, despite Sabalenka’s recent slip ups.

Anastasia Potapova vs Anna Kalinskaya

Anna Kalinskaya has won on the two occasions these players have met previously, though it’s worth noting they haven’t played since 2022. Kalinskaya only had a 13-10 record coming into the French Open, while Potapova has had recent marquee wins over Elena Rybakina and Karolina Muchova.

Potapova added another big-time victory by coming from a set down to defeat Coco Gauff in the last round. It’s been a far easier path for Kalinskaya, though she has marginally more experience at this stage of Slams than Potapova.

Potapova is rightly favoured given how she’s played since the WTA Tour moved to clay. Kalinskaya will fancy her chances, but Potapova should get the job done.
