Cincinnati Open Predictions: Best Bets for Friday 21st August 2026

| BY Sam Cox

Friday sees the conclusion of the Cincinnati Open quarterfinals ahead of Saturday’s semi-finals. Here are William Hill’s top tennis betting picks.

Cincinnati Open Predictions Friday:

  • Taylor Fritz -2.5 games (21/20)
  • Frances Tiafoe to win (11/10)
  • Match to reach a final set (11/10)
  • Sára Bejlek +3.5 games (Evens)

Taylor Fritz vs Brandon Nakashima

Taylor Fritz has already beaten Brandon Nakashima twice in 2026. One of those wins was en route to the title in Washington.

Nakashima saw off Daniil Medvedev in the third round and reached the final in Montreal. It’s fair to say the draw fell in Fritz’s favour – this is his first match against a seeded player in Cincinnati and represents his first real challenge.

It’s not out of the question that Nakashima gets through, but Fritz’s recent success in this matchup means he’s our pick for the win.

Lorenzo Musetti vs Frances Tiafoe

It’s been a straightforward run to the last eight for Lorenzo Musetti. Frances Tiafoe has seen off two higher seeds and could make his first ATP 1000 semifinal since the 2024 Cincinnati Open.

Musetti won when these players last met, which was at the 2025 French Open. Tiafoe has won the last two hard-court duels, however, including a straight sets win at this event two years ago.

We like what we’ve seen from Tiafoe in Cincy after some disappointing results.

Coco Gauff vs Marta Kostyuk

Meeting for a sixth time, but only the first time this year, Marta Kostyuk and Coco Gauff are closely matched in the tennis betting markets. Kostyuk is a slight underdog.

Gauff has clocked consecutive efficient wins to reach a third straight WTA 1000 quarter-final. Kostyuk blew Mirra Andreeva away after dropping the first set, and the Ukrainian is looking for her ninth win against a top 10 player this season.

This promises to be a hard-fought match between two of the world’s best. We fancy it to go the distance.

Sára Bejlek vs Madison Keys

Elina Svitolina’s withdrawal left a clear path for Madison Keys. Sára Bejlek’s extraordinary win over Aryna Sabalenka has given Keys a chance to reach a WTA 1000 event without facing a top 30 player in the world.

Bejlek, who won the Abu Dhabi Open earlier this year, is in uncharted territory. The Czech youngster appears to be enjoying a breakout performance after a quiet few months.

Experience should stand Keys in good stead, but the American is no stranger to upsets. She lost to the world number 70 in Washington and suffered three clay-court losses to players outside the top 80.
