England vs India Fourth T20I 2026: Predictions, Odds & Betting Tips
England take on India on Thursday in the fourth of their five-match T20 series, and William Hill News are on hand to preview the clash.
After three matches – one of which was abandoned for bad weather – the hosts lead 2-0 after an emphatic victory at Trent Bridge in the third match. England were on a high after their hard-fought victory in the second game and they are only going up.
England smashed 201 runs from their 20 overs, before a slick bowling performance saw them skittle the visitors in just 11.4 overs, with a mere 72 runs on the board. A victory in Thursday’s game would wrap the series up and create real hope for a whitewash.
Prediction
If England can keep up their formidable form then it is hard to see past them easing to victory once again and it is hardly surprising, given the nature of their last victory, that they head to Gloucestershire as 8/11 favourites.
India will want to bounce back after a performance that captain Shreyas Iyer described as “atrocious”, but given recent form the 11/10 about them just looks too short to put your faith in.
The value may well lie in the match treble markets. England won the last match by 125 runs, scored two more sixes and fourteen more fours than India that day. With that in mind, the 9/4 about England To Win, England Most Sixes & England Most Fours is tempting.
England 8/11
Things couldn’t have gone much better for England at Trent Bridge as openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler bounced back from their pair of ducks in the previous match to put on a combined 106 runs. Salt was the real star of the show with 70 of just 44 balls and he is boosted to 4/1 to score another 50 on Thursday.
Captain Harry Brook is yet to hit a half century or top score so far in this series and that will surely be on his mind. His price is slightly larger than his talent and reputation should suggest, so it may be worth taking the 17/5 about him to be England’s top batsmen in this match.
The seam bowlers have really starred for England, with Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue notching seven of the 10 wickets between them on Tuesday evening. Both are likely to lead the charge again, with Tongue (16/5) a slightly bigger price than Archer (14/5), and the former probably represents the value.
India 11/10
India have had a torrid time so far, kicked off by the first match being abandoned after they put on an impressive 189 runs in the first innings. Since then, they’ve fallen to a narrow defeat at Old Trafford before being thrashed at Trent Bridge earlier this week.
Shreyas Iyer was disgusted with his team’s performance and he’ll be back with vengeance. 13 runs was enough to be India’ top scorer in the last match and, although he only made five, Iyer could be the man to lead with the bat at 18/5 to top score.
The visitors haven’t really had a standout bowler thus far, but Arshdeep Singh took three crucial wickets in the second match. He is 27/10 to bounce back from a poor spell at Old Trafford and lead with the ball here.
