Flower odds-on favourite to replace McCullum as England Test coach
Former England coach leads Langer in race to succeed departing Kiwi
Andy Flower is the odds-on 1/2 favourite with William Hill to replace Brendon McCullum as England’s Test coach.
McCullum has been relieved of his duties in the red-ball format, leaving Flower as the leading contender to fill the Kiwi’s shoes and make a return to the role he left in 2014.
Other names in the frame include ex-Australia coach Justin Langer (3/1), and former England spinners Gareth Batty (7/2) and Richard Dawson (9/2).

| Gareth Batty | 7/2 |
| Richard Dawson | 9/2 |

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Brendon McCullum was under pressure following England’s home series defeat to New Zealand, and with the Kiwi now removed from his post, we make Andy Flower his most likely successor, priced at 1/2.
“England cricket fans will remember Flower fondly from his time working alongside former captain Andrew Strauss, when the pair masterminded the tourists’ Ashes victory Down Under in 2010-11.
“If the ECB choose not to go back to Flower, Aussie coach Justin Langer (3/1) is the closest challenger for the role – with English pair Gareth Batty (7/2) and Richard Dawson (9/2) also in contention.”
