French Open Tips Today: Best Bets At Roland Garros On Wednesday

| BY Sam Cox

William Hill News preview the biggest matches at Roland Garros on Wednesday, with Sam Cox giving his best bets on the French Open action.

Wednesday’s French Open schedule is remarkable. The men’s draw feels like it belongs at an ATP250 event.

French Open Predictions – Wednesday 3rd June 2026:

  • Flavio Cobolli to win (17/20)
  • Matteo Arnaldi +4.5 games (4/6)
  • Anna Kalinskaya to win (17/20)
  • Aryna Sabalenka -5.5 games (10/11)

Aryna Sabalenka, the women’s world number one, is in action, but there are three surprising names alongside her after early defeats for Victoria Mboko, Jessica Pegula, and Coco Gauff. Here are the best tennis betting tips for the Wednesday slate.

The stage is set and with the race for the illustrious trophy and lucrative Roland Garros prize pot intensifying, we look at the biggest matches at the 2026 French Open on Wednesday.

Flavio Cobolli vs Félix Auger-Aliassime

Flavio Cobolli has won four of the five sets he’s played against Félix Auger-Aliassime. Their two matches in 2024 are a while ago, though, so they need to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Auger-Aliassime’s fourth-round win over Alejandro Tabilo is more relevant, with the Canadian getting on track after making a meal of the first few rounds. After a string of straight sets wins, Cobolli was made to work hard by Zachary Svajda.

Aside from Cobolli’s run to the final in Munich, neither player was in great form coming into this French Open. Auger-Aliassime still doesn’t look completely comfortable on clay. Cobolli is the most accomplished clay-court player, and is deservedly favoured here.

Matteo Berrettini vs Matteo Arnaldi

It’s an all-Italian affair in Wednesday’s first men’s quarter final. Arnaldi’s extraordinary comeback against Frances Tiafoe sets up his first-ever meeting with Matteo Berrettini, who is in the last eight of a Grand Slam for the first time since 2022.

Ranked 103rd in the world, Arnaldi is clearly the underdog. He’s not been beyond the third round of a Masters event since last year’s Madrid Open. Berrettini’s drought across Slams and ATP 1000 events is even longer.

The pressure is on Berrettini. Things have really fallen into place for him. Arnaldi had a gruelling match on Monday, but if he’s sufficiently fresh, he can at least put up a fight against his veteran compatriot.

Anna Kalinskaya vs Maja Chwalińska

Kudos to anyone who predicted this quarter final matchup. Maja Chwalińska beat former world number four Zheng Qinwen in the first round and has kept rolling from there, including a straight-sets win over Diane Parry in the fourth round.

Anna Kalinskaya has benefited from higher seeds losing in her section, but it still took a gutsy performance to beat the in-form Anastasia Potapova in a third-set tiebreaker.

The bookies make Kalinskaya only a narrow favourite. The Russian is far more experienced than Chwalińska, who had never been beyond the second round of a Slam before this year’s French Open.

Diana Shnaider vs Aryna Sabalenka

Diana Shnaider won the first and third sets to defeat Madison Keys on Monday. Shnaider’s reward is a quarter-final against Sabalenka on Wednesday.

The world number one is yet to drop a set and has hardly got out of second gear. A marquee matchup with Naomi Osaka was entertaining on Monday evening, but Sabalenka was never really under threat.

This is Shnaider’s first-ever singles Grand Slam quarter-final. She’s a career 1-8 against the world’s top 10, and we can’t see that improving here.
