3/1 - RVP to score two or more goals
Arsenal take on Newcastle in the live Premier League game on Monday evening. The Gunners are 1/2 to win the clash, the draw is 3/1 and the away win is 6/1.
The Gooners have not played since that epic clash against Milan on Tuesday. They restored their tattered pride with a 3-0 home win and the likes of Rosicky and Alex Song proved they can hack it at that level.
They may no longer be in the Champions League but they can build on the result and push-on until the end of the season, a top four finish is a necessity. How much the match took out of the Arsenal players emotionally and physically is debatable.
Newcastle have impressed this season and Arsenal may not turn up. If you fancy the Northern side, they are 4/1 draw no bet and they are 8/5 to win or draw. Arsenal proved at home to Tottenham that they had the mettle to come back from 2-0 down to win but they are worryingly inconsistent, I would not be backing the 1/2.
Last season, Arsenal were 4-0 (16/1) up at half-time away to Newcastle and drew 4-4 (150/1), becoming the first team ever to throw away a four-goal lead in the league. Newcastle are now unbeaten in their last three league meetings with Arsenal.
Arsenal are 11/1 to lead at half time and not win, Newcastle are 10/1 to come from behind and win or draw.
The Match Winner is for Van Persie to score two or more goals, it has been enhanced from 9/4 to 3/1. He has been in sensational form this season and he has little problem finding the back of the net.
He was linked with a move to Man City during the week and when he is scoring, Arsenal tend to win. He is only 1/2 to score anytime and the 3/1 for two or more goals looks cracking value!
Buy of the season should go to Newcastle and Pardew for taking on Demba Ba. He is 8/1 to open the scoring and 11/4 to score anytime. He has problems with his knee but that has not affected his performances. It would not surprise me if he was playing at the Emirates every other week, next season.
Demba Ba has a new strike partner, his international team-mate. Mike Ashley purchased Papiss Cisse during the transfer window and he is 10/3 to score anytime. He has already found the net for his new club and he knows how to play with Demba.
Newcastle had scored in ten consecutive away games before being unable to find the net against Spurs. Both teams to score is as short as 7/10 and over 2.5 goals is only 6/10. Arsenal's defence is ropey and I would not be backing the Arsenal clean sheet at 21/20.
