FC Augsburg v Eintracht Frankfurt

  • The only previous Bundesliga meeting between these two sides in the SGL-Arena was won by Augsburg thanks to Dong-Won Ji's only top-flight brace - the South Korean hasn't scored two goals against any other Bundesliga side.
  • FC Augsburg are having their most successful Bundesliga season: They have never recorded 49 points or 45 goals in a (whole) top-flight campaign before.
  • FCA, who could qualify for Europe for the first time, are currently having their best half of a Bundesliga season with 25 points, already one point more than they collected in the first half of this campaign.
  • Augsburg have collected seven points from their last three games, conceding only one goal in the process - Eintracht have collected just one point from their last four matches and have failed to score in three of those four games.
  • Goal droughts: FCA have scored the fewest goals of the teams in the top half of the table (45). Only Braunschweig (28) and Nürnberg (36) have scored fewer goals than Frankfurt (39).
  • No ‘kick' from corners: No other Bundesliga side has required as many corners per goal as Augsburg (193) and Frankfurt (99).
  • Farewell: FCA's record player Andre Hahn is leaving the club. Never before has an Augsburg player scored as many goals (11), provided as many assists (7), collected as many scorer-points (goals + assists = 18) or been shown as many yellow cards (10) as Hahn in a Bundesliga season.
  • The Bundesliga's record-holding Turk, Halil Altintop (269 games, 57 goals), played for Eintracht between January 2010 and July 2011). After 49 Bundesliga appearances (3 goals) and being relegated from the Bundesliga with Frankfurt in 2011, he moved to Trabzonspor in Turkey.
  • Alexander Meier, Frankfurt's top goalscorer in 2013/14 together with Joselu (8 goals each), is set for his 100th competitive goal for the Eagles.
  • Born in Augsburg, Armin Veh made his first steps as a player (until 1979) and a coach (1990-95) at FCA - he also managed the then Regionalliga side from October 2003 until September 2004 and just missed out on promotion to the second division.

FC Bayern München v VfB Stuttgart

  • Bayern have won each of their last 10 competitive matches against Stuttgart, scoring 32 goals in the process. Stuttgart's last victory over Bayern in a competitive game was in March 2010 (2-1 in a Bundesliga fixture in Munich).
  • Bayern vs. Stuttgart is the only game on the final matchday that will have no effect on the table regardless of the result. FCB have the title wrapped up, while VfB can't move from 15th.
  • Bayern have only kept one clean sheet in their last 12 competitive matches, in a 2-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Braunschweig on matchday 31. The Munich side have conceded 14 goals in their last six games in the Allianz Arena in all competitions.
  • VfB Stuttgart haven't won away from home in nine games and have collected just three points from those matches. Their last away win was a 3-1 victory in Freiburg on matchday 12 (November 10th 2013).
  • The German champions have won their game prior to being awarded the trophy in each of the last seven seasons. The last title-winners that failed to secure victory before the ceremony were Bayern in 2006, when they drew 3-3 with Dortmund on matchday 34.
  • Bayern are unbeaten in their last 40 Saturday afternoon home games, collecting 118 of a possible 120 points. Their last home defeat in that timeslot was a 2-1 loss to Mainz in September 2010.
  • With 87 points to their name, Bayern are having their second-best Bundesliga season. They can no longer reach their record tally of 91 points set in the last campaign.
  • Mario Mandzukic shares the top spot in the goalscoring charts with Robert Lewandowski (18 goals each). The last time 18 goals were enough to secure the golden boot was in 2001/02: Martin Max (1860 München) and Marcio Amoroso (BVB) shared it.
  • Bastian Schweinsteiger will celebrate his seventh Bundesliga title after the game against Stuttgart - only Oliver Kahn and Mehmet Scholl have won more (8 each).
  • Fredi Bobic is without a win against Bayern in 33 competitive games as a player and a sporting director (D10, L23).

Hertha BSC v Borussia Dortmund

  • The home side has struggled in recent Bundesliga meetings between Hertha and Dortmund. The hosts have only won in one of the last eight encounters (BVB's 2-0 win in October 2009) - Hertha won the meeting earlier this season 2-1 in Dortmund.
  • Hertha BSC have won just one of their last 11 games (D4, L6) - Luhukay's side collected more than twice as many points in the first half of the season (28, 6th best) than they have since the winter break (13, 17th best).
  • Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten in eight successive Bundesliga games for the first time this season (W6, D2) - that's currently the best run in the league.
  • Berlin have scored just six goals in their last 11 games - no other team has scored as few in that timeframe. Luhukay's side have failed to score in six of those 11 matches.
  • Borussia have qualified for the Champions League for a fourth successive season - Dortmund have never had a run like that before.
  • Set-piece specialists: Proportionally, BVB (43.4%) and Hertha (42.5%) have scored the most goals from set-pieces. Klopp's team have scored 33 times from dead-ball situations - no other team has scored more than 23 goals from set-pieces.
  • Klopp's side will play in Berlin's Olympiastadion again seven days later - they are set to face FC Bayern München there in the final of the German Cup.
  • Adrian Ramos will play his last competitive game for Berlin against his future employers BVB of all sides - the Colombian has been at Hertha since August 2009 and has scored 58 times for them in 159 league games (first and second division).
  • Robert Lewandowski shares the top spot in the goalscoring charts with Mario Mandzukic (18 goals each) - there has never been a Polish golden boot winner in the Bundesliga.
  • The game against Berlin will be the Pole's last in the Bundesliga for BVB - no player has scored as often as Lewandowski since he joined Germany's top flight in July 2010 (72 goals in 130 games).
  • Shoot on sight: Robert Lewandowski (114), Marco Reus (106) and Adrian Ramos (90) have taken the most shots in the league this season.

Hannover 96 v Sport v Club Freiburg

  • This is the 14th Bundesliga meeting between Hannover 96 and Sport-Club Freiburg. SCF haven't lost any of the last five encounters (W3, D2), winning each of the last three.
  • Both teams have secured a mid-table finish. Should SCF (14th) win by a two-goal margin, they would move above Hannover (11th) in the table.
  • Hannover have only won one of their last six home matches (D2, L3) - a 2-1 victory against Hamburger SV on matchday 30. 96 have scored just four goals in that timeframe, failing to find the back of the net in three of those games.
  • However, 96 have won three of their last four games (1 draw) - their last defeat was on matchday 29 (3-0 in Braunschweig).
  • SCF have recorded just one win in their last nine away games (D3, L5) - a 4-1 victory in Frankfurt on matchday 25. Freiburg have failed to score in six of those matches.
  • Freiburg (47.3% won) and Hannover (47.4% won) are the worst tackling sides in the top flight.
  • SCF have conceded 11 goals in the opening 15 minutes of games - only Bremen have conceded more (12). Freiburg have conceded a goal in the first quarter of an hour in four of their last six games, including in the recent match against Schalke.
  • Manuel Schmiedebach scored his first Bundesliga goal in his 120th top-flight appearance last weekend in Nürnberg. Of the current outfield players in the Bundesliga, only Stuttgart's Daniel Schwaab has made more appearances without scoring (128).
  • Freiburg forward Mike Hanke wore Hannover colours from July 2007 until January 2011. Hanke scored 19 goals in 81 Bundesliga games for 96.
  • Hannover's sporting director Dirk Dufner held the same position at SCF for six years before joining 96 in April 2013. Freiburg celebrated their promotion to the Bundesliga during Dufner's spell there.

1899 Hoffenheim v Eintracht Braunschweig

  • The meeting earlier this season was the first match between the two sides in professional German football. Braunschweig won 1-0 thanks to Torsten Oehrl's penalty.
  • Eintracht have to win in the second competitive meeting too, otherwise their relegation will be confirmed.
  • Braunschweig can only finish in the relegation play-off place with help from elsewhere: Neither Nürnberg nor HSV can win. In fact, Hamburg realistically need to lose - a HSV draw means Eintracht would have to win by a seven-goal margin to move above them.
  • If Braunschweig jump to 16th, it would be a first: Never before has a Bundesliga club climbed from 18th to 16th on matchday 34.
  • Eintracht have lost their last four games - something that last happened from matchday 13 to 16 - and they have failed to score in any of those matches. Should they fail to find the back of the net at Hoffenheim, the Lions would set a new club record in the Bundesliga.
  • Only Bayern (93) and Dortmund (76) have scored more goals than Hoffenheim (69). However, only HSV (72) have conceded more goals than TSG (69).
  • Braunschweig have recorded just one away win in 2013/14 (2-0 in Wolfsburg, otherwise D4, L11) and haven't recorded a victory in their last 12 away games - currently the longest run of its kind amongst the current Bundesliga sides.
  • Only Stuttgart (30) have squandered more points from winning positions than Hoffenheim this season (27). TSG only dropped seven points after taking the lead in the whole of last campaign. They have let six points slip in their last three games alone.
  • Roberto Firmino is second in the league in terms of both scorer-points (goals + assists = 26) and assists (11) - Marco Reus is ahead of him in both categories (29 and 13 respectively). The Brazilian has scored 15 goals this season, as many as in his previous three campaigns combined.
  • Six of the league's best tacklers go meet in this game: Hoffenheim's Abraham (68.5% won, 1st), Vestergaard (66.5%, 7th) and Süle (66%, 11th) are all ahead of Braunschweig's Correia (65.6%, 12th), Dogan (65.5%, 14th) and Bicakcic (64.4%, 20th).

Bayer 04 Leverkusen v SV Werder Bremen

  • Bremen's 1-0 victory earlier this season ended a run of 10 Bundesliga games without a win against Leverkusen (D6, L4). Werder's previous victory over Bayer 04 was a 1-0 win in May 2008 (goalscorer: Mesut Özil).
  • Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten in their last 12 Bundesliga games under manager Sascha Lewandowski across multiple seasons (W9, D3). Their last defeat under him was a 2-1 loss to Bayern in March 2013.
  • With an average of 2.02 points per game, Lewandowski is Leverkusen's best Bundesliga manager of all time (at least 9 games in charge required).
  • Werder have lost their last two away games (3-0 in Mainz and 5-2 in Munich) - the last time they suffered three successive defeats away from home within one Bundesliga season was in the first half of the 2011/12 campaign.
  • Leverkusen could climb to third, stay fourth our slip down to fifth. A win would confirm a fourth-place finish and would also ensure third place should Schalke also lose to Nürnberg.
  • Bayer 04 are the league's best tackling side together with Wolfsburg (both 52.6% of challenges won).
  • Four of Werder's last five goals have come from counterattacks. Only Leverkusen and Hannover have scored as many goals on the break in the second half of the season as Bremen (5).
  • Robin Dutt was Leverkusen's manager in 2011/12, but was let go after matchday 28 in the Bundesliga following five successive defeats in all competitions (including a 7-1 loss in Barcelona) - Sascha Lewandowski and Sami Hyypiä took over the reins following his dismissal.
  • Sebastian Boenisch made 55 Bundesliga appearances for Bremen from 2007-12 (1 goal), while Clemens Fritz played 43 games for Leverkusen from 2003 to 2006 (2 goals). Simon Rolfes was a youth and reserve player for SVW, but never played for them in the Bundesliga.
  • Leverkusen's sporting director Rudi Völler scored 97 of his 132 Bundesliga goals for Bremen (in 137 games between 1982 and 1987). Only Marco Bode has scored more top-flight goals for Werder (101, Frank Neubarth also scored 97).

1. FSV Mainz 05 v Hamburger SV

  • Hamburg have lost just one of their seven Bundesliga games in Mainz and are unbeaten there in six matches (W3, D3).
  • HSV, Nürnberg and Braunschweig have each collected zero points from their last four games. Hamburg still have a one-point advantage over 17th place and thus are in control of their own destiny.
  • Hamburger SV have lost nine of their last 10 away games and each of their last eight. Mirko Slomka has lost his last 14 Bundesliga away games as a manager. Only Udo Klug has suffered more successive away defeats in the top flight (21 from 1982 to 1986).
  • With 27 points after 33 games, HSV are certain to have their worst ever Bundesliga season. They had always recorded at least 36 points at the end of each season before this campaign.
  • With 72 goals conceded, Hamburg have the league's leakiest defence. Never before have HSV conceded as many goals in a Bundesliga season as they have so far this campaign. Their previous record tally was 68 goals in the 1987/88 season.
  • Mainz have won each of their last three home games without conceding a goal. The last time they won more home matches on the spin was in the first half of the 2012/13 season (4 straight home wins between September and November 2012).
  • Mainz could qualify for Europe via their league finish for the second time in the club's history after 2010/11. They also reached Europe in 2004/05 through the Fair Play ranking.
  • Rene Adler is set for his 200th Bundesliga appearance - 61 of his 199 games have come for HSV. No player has made as many individual mistakes that have led to goals this season as Adler (7, a record since Opta started collecting this statistic in 2007/08).
  • Born in Hamburg, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting made 23 Bundesliga appearances for HSV between 2004 and 2011 (2 goals, on loan at Nürnberg in 2009/10). His goal in Gladbach saw him match his personal record of 10 goals in a season.
  • Ola John has lost each of his eight Bundesliga matches. Only Peter Kursinski (1975-78 for VfL Bochum) has made more top-flight appearances without claiming a single point (10 games, 10 defeats).

FC Schalke 04 v 1. FC Nürnberg

  • Schalke have won just one of their last four Bundesliga matches against Nürnberg (D1, L2) - a 1-0 victory in October 2012. S04 have failed to score in their last two meetings with FCN.
  • However, FCN haven't won any of their last 11 away games in Gelsenkirchen (D3, L8). Their last Bundesliga win at Schalke was over 20 years ago - a 2-1 victory in September 1993.
  • Nürnberg are on the brink of their eighth relegation from the Bundesliga, which would be an unwanted record (Bielefeld have also been relegated 7 times). FCN's last relegation from the top flight in 2007/08 was confirmed after a 2-0 loss to Schalke 04 on the final matchday.
  • A draw would be enough for Schalke to secure direct qualification for the group stage of next season's Champions League. However, the Royal Blues lost their last home match to Gladbach (1-0) having previously gone 10 home games without a defeat.
  • Due to their poor goal difference, Nürnberg will have to win and hope HSV don't if they are to reach the relegation play-off spot. If Hamburg win in Mainz, FCN will definitely be relegated.
  • Nürnberg have lost 10 of their last 11 matches (1 win) and have suffered six straight defeats for the first time in 30 years (a run of 10 consecutive losses at the end of the 1983/84 campaign, which ended in relegation).
  • FCN have recorded the fewest wins in the league (5). Nürnberg have never ended a Bundesliga season before with fewer than six victories.
  • Ralf Fährmann has saved 79.5% of the shots on his goal this season and has the best save percentage of the Bundesliga's regular goalkeepers. He has kept eight clean sheets in the second half of the season already - the highest amount this year of all Bundesliga keepers.
  • Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Josip Drmic are the top scorers in the second half of the season (10 goals each). However, Huntelaar is suspended (5 yellow cards), while Drmic hasn't scored in the last five matchdays.
  • Alongside Huntelaar, Felipe Santana is also suspended for Schalke 04. Nürnberg will be without Javier Pinola, Marvin Plattenhardt and Timothy Chandler, almost the entire back four from the game against Hannover, due to suspension.

VfL Wolfsburg v Borussia Mönchengladbach

  • Gladbach have won just two of their last 12 Bundesliga games against Wolfsburg (D3, L7). In total, Borussia have lost 56% of their matches against VfL (15 of 27) - that percentage isn't as high against any other Bundesliga club.
  • Wolfsburg have won seven of their last eight home matches against Gladbach - otherwise, one draw (0-0 in February 2012). VfL's last home defeat to Borussia was over 10 years ago (3-1 in November 2003).
  • Gladbach have to win in Wolfsburg if they want to finish fifth. A win coupled with a defeat for Leverkusen would even see Borussia climb to fourth place.
  • Only Dortmund have managed to win against Wolfsburg in the last nine Bundesliga games (2-1 on matchday 29). Otherwise, VfL have recorded five wins and three draws in that timeframe.
  • Wolfsburg have scored at least one goal in each of their last 25 Bundesliga games - currently the longest goalscoring run in the league.
  • With 19 points to their name, Gladbach sit ninth in the away table. However, they have won three of their last five away matches (2 defeats).
  • Gladbach's goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will play his last game for Borussia this weekend against Wolfsburg. He has started on each of the last 107 matchdays since making his Bundesliga debut in a 5-1 win over Köln in April 2011.
  • Progress: Dieter Hecking took over at Wolfsburg in December 2012 with the club 15th in the table. Now they have confirmed European football for the first time since winning the league title in 2009.
  • Hecking's professional playing career started at Borussia Mönchengladbach. He only played six Bundesliga games for them though between 1983 and 1985 under then manager Jupp Heynckes.
  • After scoring his 14th goal of the season, Ivica Olic has equalled his personal Bundesliga goalscoring record from the 2007/08 campaign (in HSV colours). The Croat has been involved in seven goals in his last six Bundesliga appearances (5 goals, 2 assists).
  • Permanent fixture: Ricardo Rodriguez is one of just two outfield players, alongside Augsburg's Daniel Baier, yet to have missed a minute of Bundesliga football this season.
