  • Bayer 04 haven't lost any of their last nine Bundesliga games against HSV (W5, D4) and have scored a total of 21 goals in those matches (an average of 2.3 per game); Leverkusen have won each of their last three meetings with Hamburg.

  • Against no other Bundesliga side are Hamburg currently on a longer winless run than against Leverkusen. Bayer 04, on the other hand, can't boast a longer winning run against any other side.

  • Never before in their Bundesliga history have Hamburg had so few points (24), so many defeats (16) and so many goals conceded (59) after 28 games than they do at the moment.

  • Bayer 04 have only won one of their last 11 competitive away games - a 3-1 victory in Augsburg in their last match on the road (D2, L8).

  • HSV last lost a Bundesliga home game on a Friday in December 1998 (4-0 to Hertha BSC). Since then, they had secured five wins and three draws from eight home games on a Friday. Leverkusen are the only Bundesliga team to have won their last seven Friday matches.

  • Leverkusen (47) may have only scored four goals more than HSV (43), but Bayer 04 already have twice as many points to their name (48) as Hamburg (24).

  • Hamburg have already gone behind in 22 games, a league-high. They have only taken the lead 11 times this season (the same as Nürnberg) - only Braunschweig have gone in front on fewer occasions (9).

  • Stefan Kießling has scored in each of his last four Bundesliga games, netting Bayer 04's opening goal each time. The last time he had such a long goalscoring run was between the end of last season and the start of this campaign, when he scored in seven straight matches.

  • Rene Adler moved to HSV in the summer of 2012 after 138 Bundesliga games for Bayer 04. Heung-Min Son went in the other direction at the start of this season after scoring 20 goals in 73 Bundesliga matches for Hamburg. The South Korean forward scored three times against HSV in his side's 5-3 win earlier this season.

  • Sidney Sam's first four Bundesliga games came in HSV colours in 2007/08. At the start of the season, Levin Öztunali moved to Bayer 04 from Hamburg, playing in their youth setup from 2006 onwards.

  • Pierre-Michel Lasogga played for Bayer 04's U19s in 2009/10. He scored 25 goals in 25 games and was the league's top scorer. As a result, he was signed by Hertha BSC.

FC Augsburg - FC Bayern München

  • Augsburg have been waiting over 52 and a half years for a competitive win against Bayern - they have lost each of their last 13 competitive meetings with FCB (including all five in the Bundesliga).

  • FCA have collected just one point from their last four games, although they have only faced teams from the top seven in the table during that timeframe (Schalke, Wolfsburg, Leverkusen and Mainz).

  • Bayern's record winning run is over, the Munich side could only draw against Hoffenheim, something they last did almost six months (19 games) ago (1-1 v Leverkusen, October 5th 2013).

  • With a run of 53 Bundesliga games without defeat (46 wins), FCB hold the top-flight record. In Europe's top five leagues, only AC Milan have put a longer unbeaten run together (58 games between 1991 and 1993).

  • Bayern have won their last 10 away games in the Bundesliga, breaking the league record that they set last season (a run of 9 successive away wins).

  • Only Wolfsburg (18) have collected more points from losing positions than Augsburg (15) and Bayern (16).

  • In Andre Hahn (10 goals) and Tobias Werner (9), FCA will have to do without their top goalscorers and top points-scorers (goals + assists) against the record champions. The pair have been involved in Augsburg's last seven goals and 16 of their last 18.

  • Augsburg manager Markus Weinzierl played for FC Bayern's reserves between 1995 and 1999 - he never made a first-team appearance for them.

  • Manuel Neuer could keep his 50th clean sheet for Bayern in the Bundesliga. The club record his held by Oliver Kahn (163 clean sheets in the Bundesliga).

  • Schalke are unbeaten in five Bundesliga matches, collecting 13 of a possible 15 points (W4, D1) - only Bayern have done the same in that timeframe. S04 have only lost once in their last 13 matches (5-1 to FCB on matchday 23, otherwise W4, D3).

  • S04 have conceded more than one goal in just one of their last 13 matches (in their 5-1 defeat to Bayern). They have kept eight clean sheets in that timeframe.

  • Jen Keller's Bundesliga record as a manager against Bremen reads three games, three wins and an 11:1 goal record. He beat Werder 6-0 with VfB Stuttgart on matchday 11 of the 2010/11 season - Keller's biggest Bundesliga win to date as either a player or a manager.

  • Keller has a 1.87 points-per-game average with the Royal Blues - the highest of all Schalke managers in the Bundesliga (not including interim managers).

  • Robin Dutt's only win as a manager against Schalke came in the first of his seven games against them to date (1-0 away victory with Freiburg in August 2009) - since then, he has recorded one draw and most recently five defeats against the Royal Blues.

Borussia Dortmund - VfL Wolfsburg

  • Dortmund have only collected one point from their last three Bundesliga games against Wolfsburg - the only other Bundesliga sides BVB have currently gone as many games without winning against are FC Bayern and Gladbach.

  • Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg will meet again 10 days after Saturday's Bundesliga encounter - BVB host the Wolves in the semi-finals of the German Cup.

  • BVB have collected more points away (29) than they have at home (26). Dortmund have won just two of their last eight Bundesliga matches in their own stadium (D2, L4).

  • Wolfsburg have won each of their last six matches on a Saturday evening - that is a record since the 18:30 CET Saturday kick-off time was introduced in 2009/10.

  • The Wolves have scored at least one goal in each of their last 20 Bundesliga games - the last time they failed to score was on October 5th 2013 (2-0 loss to Braunschweig). Only Bayern are currently on a longer goalscoring run (65 games).

  • With 47 points after 28 games, VfL are having the second-best Bundesliga season in their history. The only time they have had more points at this stage of the campaign was when they won the title in 2008/90 (57 points after 28 games).

  • In terms of points, Mainz are having the third-best season in their history. The only instances when they had more points than they do currently after 28 games (44) were in the 2009/10 season (47) and the 2010/11 campaign (58).

  • Frankfurt's 2-1 loss in Wolfsburg was their first defeat this season after having taken the lead - before that they had recorded eight wins and six draws.

  • Loris Karius celebrated his first Bundesliga start in the meeting earlier this season and has started every game since. He has saved 78.9% of the shots on his goal this season, the third-best percentage in the league.

FC Nürnberg - Borussia Mönchengladbach

  • Nürnberg have won five of their last six home games against Gladbach (the only exception is a 1-0 loss in January 2011). Against no other side have FCN celebrated as many Bundesliga home wins (18) or as many top-flight wins in total (23) as against Borussia.

  • No Bundesliga side has gone as long without a draw as Nürnberg (11 games) - the last time they shared the points was against Schalke on December 21st (0-0). Nevertheless, FCN have still recorded the most draws in the league this season (11).

  • Nürnberg have already hit the woodwork 22 times this season. The Bundesliga record since Opta started collecting detailed statistics in 2004/05 is held by Dortmund after they hit the post or crossbar on 23 occasions in the 2011/12 campaign.

  • .

VfB Stuttgart - SC Freiburg

  • This is the fifth meeting between Stuttgart and Freiburg in the space of around 12 months. Alongside two Bundesliga games, VfB also won the 2012/13 German Cup semi-final. SCF got their revenge in the second round of the competition this season though. (2-1 win).

  • VfB have dropped 28 points from winning positions this season (19 since the winter break alone) - a league-high by far. The record since the three-points-per-win system was introduced is held by Schalke: 34 points dropped in 1999/2000.

  • With 24 points after 28 games, VfB are having their worst ever Bundesliga season. On top of that, the only time they have conceded more goals at this stage of a season was in 1974/75 (63 goals conceded), a campaign that ended in relegation.

  • A third of SCF's 33 goals this season have come in their last four games (11). The last time Freiburg had a goalscoring run in the Bundesliga like that was 13 years ago (13 goals in 4 games in March/April 2001).

  • Freiburg are without former Stuttgart player Julian Schuster through suspension (2005-08 at VfB), while Georg Niedermeier is out for VfB following his red card last week.

Eintracht Braunschweig - Hannover 96

  • The 0-0 draw in the meeting earlier this season was the 1,000th goalless draw in Bundesliga history. Braunschweig haven't lost any of their last five competitive derby matches against Hannover (W3, D2).

  • On top of that, Eintracht have won their last three Bundesliga home matches against 96, scoring exactly three goals each time. The last top-flight meeting between the team in Braunschweig was a 3-2 home win on October 25th 1975.

  • Braunschweig have been bottom of the table since matchday 13, but they could finally climb a place or two with a win - they are just two points behind both Hamburg (17th) and Stuttgart (16th).

  • Hannover have a five-point lead over Hamburg and Stuttgart and will face all five teams below them in the table over the last six matchdays.

  • Braunschweig took four points from European hopefuls Mainz (3-1 win) and Leverkusen (1-1 draw) and have lost just one of their last six games (W1, D4). Eintracht are unbeaten in four games at home (W2, D2) - that last happened in 1984/85 (a 6-game run).

  • Hannover have lost each of their last three games and have collected just five points from their last nine matches. Eintracht have claimed twice as many points in that timeframe (10).

  • 96 have already lost five games after going in front (as have Augsburg) - only Stuttgart have lost more (6). Hannover have lost after taking a 1-0 lead in each of their last two games (3-1 loss to Hoffenheim, 2-1 defeat against Bremen).

  • TSG's 28 games have produced 125 goals (63 scored, 62 conceded) and Eintracht Frankfurt's season record could be broken (155 goals in 1981/82). An average of 5.0 goals per game in Hoffenheim's final six matches would be enough.

  • TSG have only kept a clean in one of their last 34 Bundesliga games. Their 3-0 home win over HSV on matchday 19 is the only time they have stopped their opponents from scoring this season. Their tally of just one clean sheet is a league-low in 2013/14.

  • Roberto Firmino is the Bundesliga's top points-scorer with 24 scorer-points (14 goals + 10 assists). He is the league's top assist provider together with Franck Ribery. With 21 scorer-points (16 goals + 5 assists), Adrian Ramos is third in the points-scorer list level with Mario Mandzukic.

  • Sejad Salihovic's goal from a free kick in Munich saw him draw level with Ibisevic as Hoffenheim's top Bundesliga goalscorer (43 goals each). It was Salihovic's ninth goal from a direct free kick - the best tally amongst current Bundesliga players.

  • Hoffenheim could surpass the 250-point mark in the top flight (currently 248) with a win against Berlin, in what would be their 199th Bundesliga game.

  • Levan Kobiashvili is set for his 350th Bundesliga game - he has scored 32 times for Freiburg, Schalke and Hertha so far. Of all foreign players, only Bayern's Claudio Pizarro has made more appearances in Germany's top flight (365).
