Chelsea look good to continue their spell over Arsenal
Chelsea's recent run of poor form can be put to an end as they travel to local-rivals Arsenal. The Gunners have won just two of the last 18 meets with Chelsea and defeat here could be another setback in their challenge for silverware.
Arsenal (8/5) have maintained their pressure on Man Utd at the top of the table and are only two points behind them. Club captain Cesc Fabregas has inexplicably come out and explained how his side are gripped by a fear of losing and when you consider their recent history against The Blues, they must be quaking in their boots here
Chelsea (9/5) have hit some horrible form of late and they have gone over a month without a win in all competitions. Although it is hard to pin-point exactly why a team suddenly stops winning, the loss of inspirational midfielder Frank Lampard is surely a factor - and guess who returns to the starting line-up this for this match?
Since Chelsea's last win over Zilina in the Champions League on the 23rd of November, they have drawn three and lost one - all three of those draws were 1-1 and with the likelihood of both sides cancelling each other out I am wary of the draw at 21/10 (1-1 looks pretty likely at 6/1 too).
Arsenal have been extra shaky at home this season, failing to beat Tottenham, Newcastle and West Brom. Considering they have already dropped nine points, and no title-winning side has dropped more than 10 points at home in a whole season since Arsenal in 2001-02 - they can't afford to drop more!
If you are still unconvinced that Chelsea can take three points away from The Emirates, just consider that Arsenal have only won one and lost four of the last seven home games against Chelsea in all competitions.
On top of this, Chelsea have two players who just love scoring past their bitter rivals. Didier Drogba loves to use his strength and power against Arsenal's defence and because of this; he has smashed in 13 goals in his last 11 matches against them in all competitions.
Nicolas Anelka has scored seven goals in his last 12 Premier League starts against Arsenal too. You can back Drogba to score first at 5/1 and Anelka to score first at 13/2, they are 6/1 and 9/1 respectively to score two or more.
You can also back either of the two to be the first goalscorer at a tasty looking 13/5. Plus if you fancy them both to score at any point in the match, you can get 11/2 on that - we really do have a massive range of markets.
We also have a special offer on this match, if you bet £10 or more on the correct score or double result markets - you will be credited with a free £2 In-Play bet to use on any market you want!
Although both sides have not been at their world-class best in recent weeks, I think Chelsea hold the mental edge over a somewhat immature Arsenal side. History shows that Chelsea have more than enough to get past their rivals and get right back in the title challenge.
