Giggs and Beckham will be rolling back the years this summer
Craig Bellamy has let slip that he is reportedly one of the over 23 players who is being included in Stuart Pearce's Team GB side. William Hill are now speculating who the others will be, making David Beckham and Ryan Giggs the two favourites.
Beckham, who was so instrumental in getting the Games to London, is 1/6 to be included in the 18 man squad while Giggs is 4/7. Other names believed to be under consideration are Joe Cole (9/4), Steven Fletcher (6/1) and Chris Brunt (4/1).
"With a combined age of 75, it will take an Olympian effort for Giggs and Beckham to play every minute of every game in London this summer," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly. "But you don't win gold medals with just effort and there is no doubting that the pair could well make the difference in London."
Craig Bellamy is 100/1 to win this year's Sports Personality of the Year.
