Iwelumo can blow Birmingham down

Chris Iwelumo's summer transfer to Wolves made few headlines but, so far this season, his goal-scoring exploits have left Wolves making all the news.

Iwelumo signed for just £500,000 in a deal from Charlton but he has gone on to form the Championship's most potent strike-force alongside Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

Now, the Scottish international looks to add to his 13 goals as second placed Birmingham make the short journey to Molineux this weekend, and few would bet against him doing so.

Iwelumo has managed four goals in the last two games, including an impressive double against Sheffield United in midweek, and is 11/2 to grab the first goal on Saturday and 2/1 to score anytime.

His partner in crime, Ebanks-Blake (11 goals this season), is similarly priced at 5/1 first scorer and 7/4 anytime, and given their recent displays, it is foolish not to think one of them will be on the score sheet.

Wolves' opponents, Birmingham, may be filling the second automatic promotion place but it has been a struggle at times this year.

Their top scorer Kevin Phillips is 9/4 to score anytime but does not look great value.

Wolves will fancy their chances in this one and are great value at 5/4 to win, while Birmingham, 15/8, looks a big risk on shortish odds. It is 2/1 about a draw.

The game will be shown live on Sky Sports 1 at 12:30 Saturday 29 November and, throughout the game, we will be offering a range of live betting markets.
