January 2015 Sporting Preview

As the festive feast of sport becomes a distant memory and the New Year hangover subsides it's time to look forward to a new year packed full of sport and top class betting opportunities, starting with January.

The start of the year marks the start of the Tennis calendar with the Australian Open in Melbourne from 19th to 1st February. Rafael Nadal returns to the Rod Laver Arena for the first time in two years since he lost in the longest Grand Slam Final in history against Novak Djokovic.

Rafa will be looking to come back swinging and Britain's Andy Murray will be trying to win his first Australian Open title. Choose your outright winner at the Home of Betting.

It's another big month of football as the FA Cup reaches the Fourth Round at the end of the month with ties being played over the weekend of 24/25th. Many of the Premier League teams have survived and they will be hoping to overcome some tricky ties to make it through to the Fifth Round. With the chance for some giant killing in prospect, make your choices with our FA Cup selections.

The Capital One Cup reaches the semi-final stage with first legs on 20/21 and second legs on 27/28. There's the all Premier League clash between Liverpool and Chelsea and can Sheffield United continue their excellent cup record against Tottenham. Either way we have match betting for the Capital One Cup covered

As well as the domestic football a festival of football is starting in Africa this month as the Africa Cup of Nations kicks off on 17th in Equatorial Guinea. Without the holders Nigeria present there is certain to be a new name on the trophy, in our Africa Cup of Nations special you can decide who will make it out of some tricky groups and who the new Champions will be.

England face old Ashes enemies Australia and India for the Tri-Series between 16th and 30th after two warm up games in Canberra. With former Captain Alistair Cook omitted, new Captain Eoin Morgan will lead England in the series ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup coming up in February. You can be outright now and follow our match specials on match day to bet in play.

Finally, in Snooker The Masters tournament begins on 11th. Defending Champion Ronnie O'Sullivan will be looking to make it back-to-back titles following his recent triumph in the Champion of Champions.

Whether you back The Rocket to triumph or one of his competitors to take the title, you can bet on Outright, Total Match Frames or Handicap betting with William Hill.
