League Two Opta Facts – 30 November – 1 December


Bristol Rovers v Wimbledon

  • The Pirates have won three of the four previous meetings between the sides (L1).
  • The Dons failed to score in both previous trips to Bristol Rovers, losing 1-0 on both occasions.
  • Michael Smith has netted three goals in his last four games (all comps) for the Dons. Indeed, only Rhys Murphy (9) has scored more League Two goals this season than Smith (8).
  • Wimbledon have gone four unbeaten in League Two, winning two (D2).

Dag & Red v Wycombe

  • The Daggers have won four of their last five home league fixtures (L1), scoring at least two goals in each match in which they've won.
  • Wycombe have won three of the last four league meetings between the two sides (L1).
  • The Chairboys have scored in 13 of their last 14 League Two fixtures, winning five (D4 L5).

Hartlepool v Portsmouth

  • Hartlepool have won only once in their previous six league matches against Portsmouth (D2 L3).
  • Pompey have netted in five of their six league matches with Hartlepool.
  • Pompey have dropped 15 points from winning positions this season; a league-high.
  • Pompey have conceded 21 second half goals so far this season; more than any other side.

Mansfield v Morecambe

  • Mansfield netted in both previous fixtures with Morecambe, although it could not prevent defeat in those matches.
  • Morecambe are yet to lose to Mansfield in league competition, scoring five goals in the process (W2).
  • The Stags are without a win at home in four games, losing three and drawing the other.

  • Plymouth have scored just seven goals from inside the box, the fewest of any League Two side.
  • Before scoring in mid-week against Mansfield, Burton striker Billy Kee had gone seven games (all comps) without a goal.

Scunthorpe v Torquay

  • The Iron have won nine consecutive home league games against Torquay, scoring 20 goals and keeping six clean sheets in the process.

  • There have been 18 goals scored in York's last five home matches, equating to an average of 3.6 goals per game.
  • Rochdale have won three of their last six league trips to Bootham Crescent (D3).
  • Rochdale have been fast starters this season scoring seven times in the opening fifteen minutes of games; a joint-league-high with Fleetwood.
  • The Minstermen have gone four games without a win, drawing three and losing one.

Newport v Chesterfield

  • Newport have won their last four at home in League Two, notching up 10 goals in the process, an average of 2.5 goals per game.
  • The Spireites have kept clean sheets in each of their last two league matches on the road (W1 D1).
  • Indeed, Chesterfield boast the meanest defence this term, keeping 10 clean sheets in league competition.
  • Newport are the only League Two side yet to score a goal from outside the box this term.
