New La Liga season - are Madrid the Real deal?
The Spanish La Liga fixtures were announced today with the champions and 4/5 favourites to regain the title with William Hill, Real Madrid playing Valencia in their opening contest but the big talking point is when they will play title rivals Barcelona (Evens for title glory).
Barcelona play Real Sociedad at home on the opening weekend of the new season.
They play each other in early October at the Nou Camp and then March in La Liga at the Bernabeau where another feisty season is likely to take place.
It is 5/1 that Barcelona pick up six points from the two encounters and 6/1 that Real do. The spoils were shared last term and it is 7/4 for either side to get three points this season.
The other battle between these two teams is between Messi and Ronaldo. Messi is 4/5 to score more goals than the Portuguese ace with Ronaldo 10/11.
Ronaldo to be top goal scorer and Real Madrid to win La Liga is 9/4 whilst the same bet with Messi and Barcelona is 11/4.
