Old Trafford set for more Fergie success
Because of the Champions League final taking place at Wembley, the League 1 and 2 finals take place at Old Trafford, the scene of so much glory for Sir Alex Ferguson over the years.
Peterborough (19/10), of course, are managed by Darren Ferguson, son of the legendary Scottish gaffer, and Posh will be looking to beat Huddersfield (6/4, draw 21/10) to put yet another trophy on the Ferguson mantelpiece.
It looks set to be one of the most exciting League 1 play-off finals in recent times as both teams just love to attack, Town qualified on penalties after a 4-4 aggregate score with Bournemouth while Posh prevailed 4-3 after two legs.
Their meetings this season contained 13 goals in three matches, while Peterborough were the top scorers in the division with an unbelievable 106 strikes, overall league matches involving the London Road outfit featured a whopping 181 goals at an average of nearly 4 a game (over 3.5 in this game 2/1).
With stats like this, you'll be very tempted by our Match Winner offer- we're giving you 4/1 that both teams score twice or more in 90 minutes, it's an enticing price for sure.
So, with goals almost guaranteed, the managers need to decide who are the best options to get them.
Terriers chief Lee Clark has tended to favour 4-5-1 on the road, but against a leaky defence he shouldn't need to be as cautious. Jordan Rhodes (5/1 first goal) is the club's leading scorer and should partner loan-man Benik Afobe (6/1) in a 4-4-2.
The Geordie will still be without several players though, Pilkington, Smithies, Johnson and Ridehalgh are all still on the sidelines but defender Lee Peltier (33/1) should return after recovering from a hamstring strain.
Ex-Yeovil man Peltier operated in midfield against Bournemouth and could slot in there again on Sunday as Town look to avoid successive defeats in the play-offs.
Ferguson has a few injury concerns of his own, Gabby Zakuani (40/1) was taken off in the first leg against MK Dons and the defence suffered in his absence, the Congolese international impressed on his return in the second leg and his shoulder injury should have eased up in time for the final.
Joe Lewis is set to miss out though; on-loan stopper Paul Jones will again take his place while Lee Tomlin (7/1) and Grant McCann (11/1) should return after missing training this week.
Full-back Charlie Lee (25/1) is back after suspension and he'll fight it out with Grant Basey (25/1) for the left-back position.
The one position that is a guarantee for this season is Craig Makail-Smith's (6/1) place up front, but the 34-goal striker is attracting interest from Norwich and it's almost certain that he'll leave the club after Sunday.
The perfect way for the hard-working frontman to depart would be with a landmark couple of goals in a Posh win - he's on 98 for the club and is 8/1 to get 2 or more and bring up a century in the final. It's 13/4 for the anytime wincast.
With Peterborough, literally any scoreline is possible, while Huddersfield have had a few crazy results too, so in the correct score markets I'd be looking at things like 3-2 (25/1 Town, 28/1 Posh) and 4-2 (66/1 both teams), maybe even a 3-3 draw at 50/1 isn't out of the question.
