Basel - Chelsea

  • Basel have lost only once in their seven meetings with English opposition (W2, D4), winning the last two.

  • Manchester City are only one point shy of their best Champions League outing in 2011/12 (ten points from six games).
  • City have only ever lost one European home game (excluding qualifiers) to a non-English side ut that defeat came this season at the Etihad against Bayern.
  • The Citizens have won their last two CL games - they have never managed three consecutive Champions League wins.

  • Bayern Munich have registered 12 points from the first four Matchdays, equalling their best in in the group stages (2010/11).
  • Alongside Viktoria Plzen, CSKA have conceded the most goals in this season's Championseague (12).
  • CSKA have also conceded the most headed goals (four).
