Pressure eased on AVB - 1/4 still there at end of season
Tottenham's victory eased the growing pressure on Andre Villas Boas and he is 7/1 to be the first Premier League manager to leave his job. He has also been eased to have left Spurs by the end of the season from 7/2 to 11/2.
"After the astonishing slump that Chelsea had towards the end of AVB's reign, the Portuguese manager must have been wondering when his next Premier League win was going to come from," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "At the final whistle, it looked like an almighty burden had been lifted from his shoulders with that win."
Jermain Defoe had a fantastic game for Spurs and William Hill make him 16/1 to end the season as the Premier League's top scorer and 7/4 to start England's next match against San Marino.
