Trickle of cash suggests Fergie's won his last title
William Hill have seen trickles of money throughout the course of the day for Sir Alex Ferguson to be the next manager to leave his job and his odds have come in from 100/1 to 40/1.
"We have seen a few fivers and tenners, obviously from those who reckon that Fergie may just sign off with title number 20," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
William Hill offer 5/2 that Sir Alex leaves United as manager in 2013 and 9/4 that he does so in 2014.
It is 11/8 that this title is the last one that Sir Alex wins as United manager, while he is 7/4 to win just one more title as manager, 2/1 two and 12/1 three or more.
Robin van Persie was the hero (as he so often has been the case this season) and his second of the evening was something quite incredible. William Hill go 6/4 that it wins the BBC's Goal of the Season competition.
Manchester United are 6/4 to retain the Premier League title next season with William Hill making Manchester City the 11/8 slight favourites. Chelsea round off the top three at 9/2.
"Manchester City had a very disappointing season given what they achieved in 2012 and they certainly have the financial clout to rebuild a team to challenge for the title next year," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
