Take my wife... Leaders' debate novelty bets

It sounds like the start of a Bernard Manning joke but William Hill are offering odds on which of the leaders will be first to mention their own wife during tonight's debate on Sky.

Nick Clegg is the 6/4 favourite and we make David Cameron 7/4 with Gordon Brown 15/8. Bet here

William Hill are also offering odds of 6/4 that Nick Clegg will again refer to Gordon Brown as a 'desperate politician' as he did in a recent newspaper interview in the second  debate on Thursday night (1/2 he doesn't).

To win 2nd debate (Result according to ww.skynews.com Fizzback poll) : 8/11 Clegg; 5/4 Cameron; 8/1 Brown

To win majority of three debates: 1/5 Clegg; 5/1 Cameron; 16/1 Brown ; 20/1 Three Way Tie

Brown and/or Cameron to say "I agree with Nick" during the second debate: 6/4

Any of the three to say "volcanic eruption": 1/2

Any of the three to walk out a debate: 50/1

Any of the three to throw a punch at one of the others: 100/1

All three to wear ties in party colours tonight: 5/6 yes; 5/6 No (Brown plain red/pink, Clegg plain yellow/gold, Cameron plain blue)

Any leader not to wear a tie tonight:5/1

250/1 FAINT HOPE? A William Hill punter has staked £10 at 250/1 that David Cameron will faint during the 2nd Leaders' debate.

"This is the oddest bet request we've yet received during the Election campaign," said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
