England survive stern test but is Jonny for the chop?

England hardly blew Argentina away in their eventual 13-9 victory.

William Hill have cut England slightly to 14/1 to win the World Cup with Johnson's men having overcome this potentially tricky tie.

Jonny Wilkinson's trusty left boot let him down quite a bit during the game today and Hills offer 8/13 that he sits out the next game against Georgia with Toby Flood coming in for him.

England received one yellow card during the match and Hills are offering 1/2 that a card is shown during the next match.

"This was the potential banana skin and England have come through relatively unscathed but while it was a positive result, we are not fretting about our potential million pound England payout just yet," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.

England Stage of Elimination:

WC Outright: 8/13 New Zealand; 7/2 Australia; 7/1 South Africa; 14/1 England; 16/1 France; 40/1 Ireland; 80/1 BAR
