Closest ever Dancing On Ice sparks massive betting bonanza
This year's Dancing On Ice, has been one of the closest in history and bookmakers William Hill are feeling the effects having already beaten last year's turnover and breaking the six figure mark. Current 11/8 favourite, Sam Attwater, was in the bottom two on Sunday and his position as Champion Elect is looking under considerable threat by Laura Hamilton (7/4) and Chloe Madeley who's odds have plummeted from 6/1 to 9/4 in the space of 24 hours.
Johnson Beharry is Hill's biggest loser, costing almost £25,000 if he wins the show although he is the favourite to go this weekend, with Hill's making him 4/6 to get the boot. Sam Attwater is the 4/1 second favourite to fall at the final hurdle.
"It seems as though all of the side stories this year, have added to the interest in this year's show," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly. "We have a VC hero and a stormy love triangle all of which have sparkedmassive increase in turnover this year. Not to mention the huge interest in Jason Gardiner's reported hair transplant."
Jason Gardiner kept his barnet covered this weekend and Hills are offering 6/1, pushed out from 5/1, that he reveals his new hair in next weekend's semi finals.
