Little Mix set for top 2012 but face Crimbo crippler

Little Mix were crowned the winner of this year's X Factor and William Hill predict good things for them in 2012, offering 11/10 that they get one number one single and 5/4 that they get two or more next year.

The end of 2011 may not end as well however, with Hills making Gareth Malone's Military Wives their 8/15 favourites to have the Christmas number one, while Little Mix are the 7/4 second favourites.

"Winning The X Factor is undoubtedly going to change Little Mix forever, however, we think that they will have to recover from failing to get the Christmas number one this year," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill can report that they took over 100 bets a minute in the final hour of Sunday's live final, which took their 2011 X Factor turnover over the £1 million mark with an industry wide turnover of over £5 million. The average bet staked on this year's show was £12.50.

Despite a successful series Hills expect to see changes in the panel for 2012, with Simon Cowell all but certain to return at 1/12, with Kelly likely to miss out and she is 1/2 to lose her job!

How many number singles will Little Mix get in 2012 (excluding winner's single): 4/1 none; 11/10 one; 5/4 two or more

To Be A Judge On The Factor 2012: 1/12 Simon Cowell, 2/5 Louis Walsh, 4/7 Gary Barlow, 8/13 Tulisa Contostavlos, 6/4 Kelly Rowland 5/2 Cheryl Cole, 4/1 Katy Perry, 5/1 Alexandra Burke, 5/1 Nicole Scherzinger, 6/1 Danni Minogue
